I hurt my knee and went to the Doctors . He gave me some medicine of course . The Doctor recommended Dona. He said how it helped a lot of patience old and young . He mentioned all the ingrediencies , where it was made and all about it. I gave it a try and after a month the arthritis in both knees had gotten much better . you didn’t hear the popping of the joints and no pain .. I would recommend this .
PS. i am a retired senior who does not get much social security and have to watch where my money goes to . The only complaint i do have is the price keeps going up from when i started ordering it .

I bought this supplement to help with arthritis in my fingers and for my 95 year old mother. I had a problem with my finger joints locking in the morning. and my mother also has arthritis in her finger. Within a week of starting this supplement, my finger joints were no longer locking in the morning. I also don’t feel the joint pains in my finger during the day. I am hoping that the condition will improve with continued use.

6 weeks after having cortisone shots in both knees did a long walk on the beach and the pain and stiffness came back with a crippling vengeance. Having been told I’m bone on bone but terribly reluctant at having a knee replacement I started to feel it was the only alternative to not having this horrible discomfort any more. In reading some information online about relief alternatives as it was hard to now walk I came across Dona. I was skeptical at the reviews as I have taken many brands/forms of glucosamine with very little if no relief but was desperate to try something to help the pain. Ordered and started taking the 2 caplets a day – In less than two weeks the stiffness started to leave and the god awful crippling pain started to subside. While my knees are not perfect and I have not taken this for yet a month, the difference in the quality of life is amazing. The pain and stiffness has been greatly reduced. I can’t recommend enough – it’s been a game changer for me.

My Doctor said to take Glucosamine Sulfate that is in these Dona tablets and not Glucosamine HCL that is in Osteo Bi-Flex. Although Dona is expensive, it works well. My knees and joints feel great. I recommend this item.

I have been diagnosed with severe spinal stenosis and severe arthritis in my back, which makes surgery not an option. An old friend (a retired oncologist) and I were discussing our health problems, which turned out to be identical. He told me to use Dona, it was very important! I asked him what it was and when he said glucosamine sulfate, I laughed and said I’d been taking it for over 40 years! “Not like this!” he said and explained that it was pharmaceutical grade and in crystalline form. I was in terrible physical shape at the time, unable to straighten up until I had been up for 4 or 5 hours. My back pain was incessant. I said I would try anything. I immediately went home and ordered the Dona from Amazon. Because of severe reactions to prescription arthritis medicine I was surviving on Aleve and it was tearing up my stomach. I put the Dona in with my other vitamins and herbs and forgot about it. About 10 days later, I noticed a small improvement in my back. Then the next day a little more improvement. This continued by small degrees. When I refilled my vitamins I realized it was the Dona. As the weeks passed, I continued to improve and now I am pain free (if I use good sense) and am riding and doing ranch work again. I am 76 years old. I also take turmeric.

In my research, I found only one trial for glucosamine as an aid for arthritis that showed positive results and many trials that showed nothing greater than a placebo. The one positive trial was by the Mayo Clinic. Well actually, it is two trials. They did a 3 year trial that showed Dona Glucosamine Sulfate helped, particularly with arthritic knees. Since they had several trials with glucosamine that did not have positive results, they repeated the test and again got positive results. They write that they don’t know why this product seems to be effective when the other glucosamine have not. They theorize that it is either the quality since this brand is pharmaceutical quality versus the others they tested were not or it is that the Dona caps include sulfate which their other tests did not. I decided it doesn’t matter which theory is correct. Dona caps worked in their trials. My knees were hurting so bad that I had trouble with stairs and my knee didn’t hold me one time and I fell down the steps. I went to the Dr and found that I have less than 10% cartilage remaining. He gave me a steroid shot in each knee and said it might or might not work and that I’d likely need surgery before too long. The shots helped but I also started taking Dona caps to try to delay the surgery. I went in for my 6 month follow up and surprised the Dr. He pointed out that my swelling had not yet returned but the steroid shot should have been worn off. He thought the swelling should have returned. I told him “No, the swelling hasn’t returned and I have no pain when I walk up or down stairs.” He was pleased and told me to continue doing whatever I was doing. I mentioned glucosamine and he shrugged and said “If it works for you, go ahead.” But when I mentioned that this particular brand had positive trials at the Mayo Clinic, he stopped me and wrote down the brand so he could investigate. My knees continue to feel fine, so I haven’t seen him again. When I do, I will see what his research shows. My aunt has now started with these capsules and she reports some improvement, but not as significant as mine.

I have been taking Dona for my Osteoarthritis in my lower back and my right knee for the past 7 years and it has helped me tremendously with stiffness, pain and inflammation.
But I take the Dona packets since I find them to be more effective and it is also the form that was used in the 3 year clinical study.
At times, I have to buy the caplets because there are not any packets in stock and I tend to develop inflammation around the bad joint and I have more discomfort.
I will be sticking with the packets and stocking up.
