This DOCTORS’ PREFERRED Daily5 supplement has great ingredients, some of which I was already using. This does have a good dosage percentage.
Taking three capsules a day almost kind of negates the benefit of combining the ingredients and it does mean that this contains only a 30 day supply. I had no negatives taking it, no after taste or any other reactions. It’s just the price/performance ratio wouldn’t work for me long term.
Smudge –
Daily 5 by Doctors Preferred, made in USA. Quoted as “5 daily must haves for feeling fabulous”. The doctors preferred website informational say their products are developed with integrative doctors, and triple tested, although I could not find available to view. This is an expensive supplement so I need to feel a difference here to convince me to add this to my regime longer term. According to DP these are 5 elements that we are not getting from our diets or standard multi vitamins. This covers bone & heart health, energy, inflammation and mood. It has a couple of ingredients that I have not taken before, like Japanese knotweed & tamarind seed so I started low and titrated up to the full 3 capsule dose – a one month supply. I have been taking for 12 days and I feel good. I would say I have had enough energy in the last week since I increased to full dose and I am excited to see how the month ends on this. Probably like most people I have a lot of responsibilities, a full time job, house, land pets, kids, land no one to help, I am in my 60’s. I am ambitious with my time and energy and I have been meeting my goals, is it coincidence, I do not know, it is promising.

I was very hopeful that this would make me feel better as I age. I was hoping for more energy, better mood, less inflammation – something. Unfortunately I did not notice any difference taking this supplement for a while. I really didn’t like swallowing 3 a day. If you take 3 a day this is only a 30 day supply. I feel like the price is absurd.

This is a great supplement with some very important ingredients that our bodies need as we age. I’m thankful to have these 5 ingredients in one supplement. Glad that this is formulated in the USA. The capsules are easy to swallow. I am looking forward to seeing good results from these capsules. They are a bit pricey (especially taking three per day), but I am excited about the health benefits they are providing.

I’ve been taking this for several weeks and I’ve been feeling good. The supplement is not reacting with anything or making me feel off in any way. The pills go down easily and are easy to take. I am taking this in conjunction with other supplements but feel like this one fills in some missing gaps. 5 stars
Holiday Pink Prepper –
I can’t say I feel any difference having taken these for a few weeks now. What I can say is this is a LOT of pills to take in addition to my multivitamin – the dose is 3 capsules. The bottle I have is 90 capsules, meaning this bottle is a 30 day supply.
This has inspired me to switch my daily multivitamin to one with magnesium and chromium – and actually most do nowadays. The other ingredients have dubious benefit so I’m ok leaving them on the table.
Smudge –
A great combination of ingredients that you usually don’t have, but need. It does have magnesium, which I have in a variety of supplements, so that’s kind of off. And coq10 is available in a lot of supplements. But the other three aren’t readily available. I’m guessing the combination works better for ingesting and bodily use. Take magnesium though at night because it’s not for energy.
Texas KnowHow –
I like the ingredients in these caplets. Daily recommened intake is 3 cap a day., thus this a 30 day supply. The current price of $66.49 a bottle is way to high to continue use. I do like the magnesium , chromium picolinate, tumeric, and Co-Q10. When I take them, I take them at night as Magnesium makes me tired. The are formulated in the USA with global ingredients (with some being from the USA). They are gluten/soy free and Vegan friendly. I have these vit and minerials in other supplements that I have with a lower dose price per pill. I feel that these are quality pills but I can’t justify the price for long term with other options available. ALso, check you current supplents to determine if you have these ingredients in other pills as to not ingest too much of any vit. or minerial.
