I really have noticed no improvement in skin and it seems to have done nothing after using for a while. Just nothing. Plus, it has a horrible smell…smells like wet goats. No thanks.

I got this product for my wife, who is regularly treating her facial skin. Below are her comments:

I have used other glycolic acid products for exfoliation, but they were easy to use (you simply put it on the face like a cream, wait a couple of minutes, take a wet hand towel / cloth and exfoliate the skin in circular motion). However, this is not so! You soak up the towel/cloth and simply start exfoliating. I find this method to be an inefficient use of the product since the product needs to soak in the cloth which can be more than what you’d put on your skin. Also, there’s no waiting involved which makes me wonder about the efficacy of the product getting absorbed to get best results.

The skin did feel smooth after I applied and rinsed off. But only more application will tell if their claim of reduced wrinkle lines, and even skin tone.

This product it not as advertised.
It is basically water and not a gel like they claim.
    Didn’t do anything good.
It kinda made my face hot and itchy.

Wow—this product works! I ordered it because I hoped it would address the blotchiness and unevenness of my older, dry skin. I am 70 years old and my skin is dry and splotchy.
I followed the directions exactly, which are in the evening after cleansing my face, saturate a gauze pad with this and gently buff my skin. Rinse with cool water to neutralize the action and then finish with a moisturizer.
Been using for about a week and I can see and feel a difference.
    Highly recommended

This Necessity Skincare Doctors Glycolic Acid 3.5% Exfoliator Gel for Face, 4 Fluid Ounce, as it chemically exfoliates to reveal new, fresh, skin that is brighter and more even in tone.

As we age, our skin does not naturally shed as quickly as it did when we were younger. That leads to dull looking complexions that make us look older and tired. Glycolic acid is a naturally derived fruit acid that enhances the process of shedding the top layers of skin and I have been using them for years. You can go to a dermatologist for stronger fruit acid peels but ones like this are safe for home use. I use them every other day with no issues but I do not have sensitive skin.

This product should be applied to skin using a cotton pad and then neutralized by washing the face with plain water. To enhance the process, I use cotton pads that have an exfoliating side and buff my skin with the product as directed. I also treat my decolletage and neck as those areas show age, too. My skin does not get red after using this product so I can use it anytime but women with sensitive skin should try it first at night in case it causes temporary redness. This product soaks into the skin, breaking the bonds between the top layer of skin and the lower layers so it works immediately and over time. Best results are with regular use but it’s so quick and easy to use, that is not a burden.

I really like the price. Much less expensive than some other brands I have used,

Only used it once so far, seems like it could work

This is ok, but I prefer a scrubbing exfoliator vs. a chemical exfoliator, which this is. This might be good for a once in a while facial stripper as used in a spa, but I still don’t get that deep clean feeling as I do with a facial scrub. The sprayer is hokey and it’s not a direct application. In fact, it might even waste some of the product as you’re spritzing. I’ve seen other reviews suggesting pouring onto a cotton pad, which is what I’ll do next time. I’ll give it 3 stars. It still seems like a quality face cleaner, but the application method and price are killers for me.

My face looks awesome. So, upon reading the brief directions, it states that you should put some of the lotion on some gauze and wipe the face once daily at night and then neutralize the skin with cool water. Then moisturize.

I am 40, I happen to think overall my skin looks pretty dang good. I have always had a good skincare routine. I hydrate often, I eat good nutritious food and I get a facial once a year. I have been a little stressed recently and noticed I look dull and tired and a little gray in the face. The first night I used this my face was red hot. So this is definitely a night time ritual. I did read that you can overdo exfoliating your face. So I only do this every other night now. I wash my face with raw honey, I swipe the exfoliator gel, I neutralize with my spray bottle of rose water. I pat dry. (Sometimes I use a cold smooth facial Stone to massage my face.) I put on a whitening cream and then my raw Shea butter for moisturizing. After one week, my face was brighter, more youthful, plump, and I enjoyed looking at my face and my skin feels amazing.

I had a small breakout near my hairline the first week. But have not had a breakout since (it was likely due to my new routine, whenever I make a change I get a breakout.) I also have sensitive skin and was a little worried about how irritated my skin might be. Other than the first night, my skin adjusted quickly, and has not had that red hot feeling again.
