As a sports medicine and nutrition specialist, I have tried many nutrition products and tested them for performance in the aging athlete. I have consistently used the quality of Pure Encapsulations for most all nutritional supplements and their Turmeric product is excellent but expensive. A quality alternative with effective results is found in Doctor’s Best Curcumin. I take it daily with effective results as the price is more affordable than Pure Encapsulations, which has a different mg dosage than the Dr. Best product. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Some reviews have questioned the value given the cost. When I look at some of the competitors here I see bottles containing 90 capsules but you are required to take 2 or 3 a day this buying monthly. This product is taken as directed will last you 4 months. 1000 mg per day of tumeric extract with 95% curcumins is a bargain. This is simply the best product costing approximately $10/month.

I am a higher fan of this product, but if you throw a capsule in your dinner, you’ll notice some of the curcuminoids refuse to dissolve. Not to be disturbing, but after taking the tablets, don’t be surprised if you see small bright orange chunks on your wipe after using the restroom, or notice your stool is FULL of orange speckles!! With the cost of this product being so high,

I’ve tried another brand for almost 2 mos. for almost the same cost and I’ve had to return it because it did not give me any relief from my arthritis pain at all. My sister’s an RN and she does her own research before taking supplements. She’s been taking this product for decades and she stands by its quality and efficacy. I take it with a tablespoon of Greek plain yogurt for better absorption after breakfast. All I can say is, it works like magic!

I don’t hesitate to try vitamins and supplements and my expectations are generally low. But I was shocked how quickly this supplement worked and how much better I feel! I highly recommend!

I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis about a year ago. My pain level throughout my body was around 8-9 (and I have a high pain threshold). My CRP, which is a blood marker for inflammation was 35 (should be below 10) . I couldn’t get an appointment with a Rheumatologist for 4 months so I decided to do a little research and see what was out there for natural pain relief. I read up on Curcumin and it sounded like just what I was looking for. I ordered this and began taking 3-4 capsules a day and although that helped, it wasn’t enough so I kept increasing it until I was at 9 a day (3 capsules 3 times daily). It was like a miracle! The pain went down to around 2 and I’ve been doing great. I added Boswellia capsules along the way also and I think the combination are even more beneficial. Recently, I decided to try and find a cheaper brand of 1,000 mg capsules because at 9 a day, this brand was getting expensive. Puritans Pride offered 1,000 mg capsules for MUCH less and seemed to be comparable ingredient wise, so I switched. Bottom line? One bottle in and my pain has returned BIG TIME! The only change I’ve made in my regimen is the Puritan’s Pride curcurmin. Needless to say I’ve sent back the unused bottles and reordered my Dr’s Best Curcumin. I wish it was cheaper but what the heck…I’m worth the one that works.

Yes, Curcumin comes from the Turmeric plant but this is strictly Curcumin that’s why it’s more expensive than the Turmeric bottles sold. Go for the gold instead of the whole plant.
