Je peux me baigner sans que le chlore ne me dérange et que j’aie des sensations de brûlures.

What I liked.. it works! It feels good. Protects and heals skin from chlorine just like it says. I have no more dry cracked feet from the pool. What I don’t like… This contains cyclomethicone. It is on the list of bad ingredients. I checked this product on an app called Yuka which checks all ingredients to see if they are clean or harmful. This one ingredient can be a hormone disrupter. I really wanted to buy this again because it works so well. But I don’t want to put this silicone on my skin. Has the company tried to make this product without the one bad ingredient? If so does it lessen the function or value? I’d like to see this ingredient gone from the list. Am I the only one? A quick Google search shows it is bad for the environment. Disrupts hormones that affect fertility and more. I also found a natural alternative that could be tried in its place. Brassica oleracea Oil or refined broccoli seed oil.

Not only do I love the ingredients but also love the smell. Smells like you are at the beach! I use this for my daughter who swims 3x a week for 2 hours. We use before and after the pool. It has been a saving grace, so much that I bought a second jar. This cream is the only cream that she will let me use because it doesn’t burn her skin. You have to be consistent but it’s not hard when you love a product. Would recommend this to any swim family with skin issues.

Virtually no scent – I notice all scents. This has no “scent”…it smells like lotion but no actual scent – if that makes sense. Certainly no added fragrance. It melts in to your skin – so it doesn’t leave a greasy feel. it is amazing at moisturizing…amazing. I use it before the pool and after showering. Plus….I will occasionally have an eczema rash from the chlorine so I have a steroid ointment I can use when that happens…I need the steroid for the first day when the rash appears but after a day the steroid knocks back the inflammation, but then it mostly stops working. After the first day of the rash, this lotion actually works better than the steroid at resolving an eczema rash. I put ointment on a rash the first day, then for days 2-5 I put steroid on half the rash and this lotion on the other half. The half with this lotion was completely healthy skin by day 5, the steroid side was still a bit “rashy” and quite itchy – the rash was only about 2 inches in diameter so it is unlikely there was any other variable in play. Also, if I get a little itchy before a rash starts, if I put this on the area I never get a rash at all. Chlorine is hard on skin but this lotion seems to negate the visible effects of chlorine on my skin. I always have this not only in my pool bag but also in my cabinet so if I get any itchy irritation I use this and the skin stays healthy. I took container to my Derm and asked her if she had any thoughts about using this on an eczema rash (which is technically “open” skin)…she laughed to herself when she read the ingredients and said this stuff was great for eczema. It’s a bit pricy but for me, well worth it. I love this stuff!

Long swims in the pool took a toll on my skin. After some experimenting, this has become my pre-swim routine. It doesn’t resolve all sensitive skin issues, but it’s the start. Give it a try and when you take the cap off, don’t be put off by the look. It works great and using it is better than trying to repair damaged skin later.

My husband has not been able to swim in our chlorine pools for years but has been in numerous times since using Pre-Swim Aqua Chlorine Neutralizing Lotion. No rash has appeared or itching. It works great.

OMG! This is the best thing I got for my skin when it comes to being in a pool or salt water. I have sensitive skin to chemicals in general so having some type of protection with be on my top list. I tried it when I was learning how to swim and I can say it works. I also brought the body wash and it works well no side effects or skin reactions for my body.

I work in a pool, so I’m in chlorine for hours at a time, but using this before the pool, and even after a shower, my skin feels great and not itchy or too dry. It dries nicely without being greasy, and the smell isn’t strong.

In an average week, I am in the pool at least four times, for 60+ minutes each time. This is my second jar of the stuff. The first, with a navy blue lid and jar, worked like a charm. My skin was well moisturized after my swim, and it felt like I have not been in the pool at all. Based on the experience with the first jar, I would highly recommend the stuff. Yet, the experience with the second jar — day two of the second jar — is totally opposite. The skin felt dry afterward; though not as dry if I had not applied the cream. There are a couple of visible differences with this second jar. The jar is not navy blue; rather it is clear/transparent plastic and the lid is white. The second visible different is that rinsing my body after having applied the cream (before entering the pool) appeared to rinse the cream off. The reason that I could tell was that suds ran down the drain. This did not happen with the first jar of the cream. Is this a quality control issue? Perhaps, having this far returned and replaced will bring a better experience?

I’m so glad this product exists. After a 9 year break from swimming laps regularly, I joined a gym and started swimming again in April this year. I love swimming, but my body, especially my lower legs and upper arms, was so itchy. I don’t know if my skin is more sensitive (highly likely) or if the chlorine strength is stronger now than in the past, but it definitely was unpleasant trying to balance my love of swimming with the frustrating itch.
I ordered this, somewhat skeptical it would help, and put it on my legs and arms. It has a pleasant scent, feels nice going on, and stopped the itch.
I now use it on my arms, legs, face (which gets irritated from chlorine) and neck (which starts to peel after swimming). It helps me with all those things. My skin has gotten more sensitive as I get older, so it might not be necessary for all swimmers, but definitely helped me.
I picked this one because I needed to try something and it was the cheapest. It worked, and I’ll be ordering another tub soon, once I finish this one up.
I highly recommend if your skin is sensitive to chlorine pools.
Update: A year later – I just ordered my third tub, I am still using and still loving this stuff. I no longer worry about whether my legs will be super itchy for days following a swim. I still use it on my legs, arms, face, and neck. Reading this review a year later, I don’t even think now about how irritated my face used to get after swims, and I’m still very happy this product exists (and still loving my swims).
