Enzymes usually appear in two forms – either have a lot of type of enzymes in one pill, or have only a few types of enzymes in one pill. The former has the advantage of being able to break down a lot of types of things but the disadvantage of usually not having as large a dosage per type as the latter.
Since this is the former, it appears, from what I’ve experienced to be either average or slightly weaker per pill than other enzymes I take. This is good for small, complex meals if only one pill is taken. I guess you could take more than one pill at a time though.
If you eat simple larger meals, then perhaps enzymes which contain fewer types of enzymes might be better, depending on what you eat. This does contain things like lactase and phytase, which is good for dairy, and a lesser extent phytic acid rich foods.

The Inner Health Digest Joy Advanced Enzyme blend seem to be helping with my digestion. This digestive enzyme blend by Inner Health contains a broad spectrum of enzymes that includes help for problems with digestion of proteins, fats, and carbs. It also includes lactase, which helps break down dairy products.
I discovered digestive enzymes for my cats many years ago and when I developed problems consuming bell peppers, I realized I should try them myself. They worked to varying degrees. Now that I’m older, I find that more things bother me and it’s nice to always have a good broad digestive enzyme pill around to take before meals that might cause some sort of indigestion.
These capsules proved themselves handily with my recent cucumber binge — I love those things, but they tend to cause a lot of burping in a lot of people, including me. I managed to eat an entire ten-incher in the course of one day without a problem thanks to these enzymes. They’re also strong enough to allow me to have a few pieces of my mortal nemesis, bell pepper, on my pizza. That’s a real test of strength. Recommended.

My body tends to have difficulty digesting stuff like spinach, though it can be hit or miss if I’ll have any issues with it on a given day. I’ve still had some of that some of the time when I take one of these before, but when that happens, taking another at that point seems to calm everything down.
It’s hard for me to swallow capsules with water, but if I take them with something carbonated or with warm tea, it makes it a lot easier. If these have a flavor, taking them the way I do masks it.
They’re about 0.75 inches long (2cm) by about 0.25 inches wide (a bit over 0.5cm).
The bottle came with a tamper seal on the inside, as well as a fluff of cotton to keep the capsules from bouncing around.
The one I got in May 2023 has a “best by” date of December 2024.
