    Good for cooking and taste is so palatable in food .. less chance of over salting your recipes .

    I watched a Netflix series “salt fat acid heat” and the chef recommended it. She said that alot of chefs use this salt since it’s less salty than other brands and it takes a little bit getting used to how much to use but let me tell you. Once you get the hang of the amount, oh man! This salt is really life changing when cooking.

    Texture: large flakes than your regular table salt which allows for a lot more surface area for your salt to adhere to which greats a better tase.

    When prepping steak: the great thing about this is it draws more of the moisture which creates a better crust on your steak when you’re cooking it.

    Great value for your money.

    Taste is awesome!
    I did an infusion of British thyme/rosemary and this salt for a rub for my steak the other day and it was phenomenal.

    This is a great salt. The flakes are big and “fluffy” I prefer this to some other brands of Kosher salt as it feels a little better when sprinkling on stuff and the crystals are “fluffier” and not rock hard. It does cost more, so I cannot say that the overall taste is going to be noticeable unless you are eating it directly or say put a sprinkling on a piece of french bread with butter. If you can get it at a good price then it really is worth a try.

    Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt has less sodium than any other kosher salt brands that are in retail stores, to my knowledge. I love this salt. A friend of mine who is definitely a chef told me about Diamond Crystal. Public supermarkets used to sell Diamond Crystal but it is no longer sold there.

    I feel like in the past three years, my cooking skills have improved dramatically. Where dinners used to be hit or miss, they are mostly spectacular now. Steak? Better than our best local steakhouse. Chicken? Cooked perfectly with tons of flavor? Fish? I still don’t like it. 🙂

    When I started really thinking about this, I realized that three years ago was about the first time I bought Diamond Kosher salt. This is the single most important ingredient you will cook with. Seriously – it is that important to good food. Before Diamond, I tried sea salt. I tried Morton Kosher. I obviously tried table salt. Nothing allowed me to clearly gauge if I’d salted a dish correctly. As you’re aware by buying this product, salt literally is flavor. Without it, dishes are flat and bland at best.

    Diamond kosher is different because it allows you to easily and clearly see what you’ve salted without being too salty. I feel like I’d have to frankly try to oversalt something for Diamond Kosher to be too salty. Instead, every dish is perfectly salted. Everything tastes better – from meats to veggies to eggs to whatever. I literally purchased a salt dish simply for this because I use it so frequently when cooking. Buy it, and you’ll be a convert. I can’t imagine wanting to purchase salt and not liking Diamond Kosher.

    Highly recommended, if you can’t tell.

    I was taught to use ONLY Diamond Kosher Salt for bread making, so that’s what I use exclusively in my breads. I get consistent flavor and consistent quality. I used to use this salt for pickling as well but got a cheaper, coarse kosher salt for that purpose. I bake a lot of bread, so I keep Diamond Kosher Salt solely for that. It’s the best salt ever.

    On a reduced sodium diet, but can’t give up my homemade bagels. This is the Kosher salt recommended by Cathy Barrow, who wrote the book and refined the recipe. Bagels turn out fabulous with half the sodium of commercial bagels. Have switched to this salt for all my cooking.
