Definitely on the expensive side of hydration packets, while not exceeding in functionality. The taste is fine, and they definitely hydrate, but only 14 packets is a tough sell at $29 at the time of this review.

I am really impressed with the clementine flavor of the Designs for Health Hydration Packets. It tastes delicious when mixed with 20oz of water. The flavor is orange-like but not quite orange which is exactly how clementine’s taste to me so the taste is spot on!
The nutrition stats on these electrolyte mixes are solid too. They provide more than just good taste with a nice mix of sodium and vitamins. I would prefer calcium and a few others added in there especially considering these cost a bit of a premium over similar brands but they do provide zinc and magnesium which is not always found in electrolyte drink mixes.
Given my comments above, I do think this is a very good choice especially if you like the taste of a clementine orange over your standard orange flavor. I have enjoyed drinking these in place of just plain water!

I use electrolyte drinks — usually tablets, which are convenient — for long cycling and running workouts; for anything longer than an hour electrolytes are crucial. This powder comes in individual packets, which means I have trash to carry or dispose of mid-workout, not ideal, but not a deal-breaker. The powder dissolves really well even in cold water. It smells really good, but I didn’t get a strong clementine flavor while drinking it. It was just a background hint. The sodium in this is slightly higher than in my favorite tabs, but not excessively so. I can definitely taste the Stevia after a drink, but that is also easy to get used to. Overall, for a sports hydration drink, if hydration is the only thing you need from the drink, this is functionally a decent option. However, the cost per drink is about two and a half times that of my favorite tabs, and it wasn’t so amazing performance-wise that I’m ready to make the switch permanent.
A few other notes: yes, this is dramatically salty if you try it before you’ve started working out. Start with water until you have electrolytes to replace. When you drink it and think, wow, that tastes AMAZING! then you know that’s when you needed it. This is true deep in a workout, or (as I once discovered) if you’re knocked sideways by the flu.
Next, this does not provide nutrition. On long runs and rides you should also replenish calories to avoid a bonk. So “sugar free!!” isn’t necessarily a big selling point for me, as I usually need some sugar anyway.
Lastly, this product warns all over the packaging: “For professional use only.” “As directed by your health-care practitioner.” This was mildly concerning, as the Amazon listing is clearly marketing this directly to athletes. But the Supplement Facts are not out of line with other sports hydration products (which do not routinely carry this warning), so I’m not clear on why they felt the need to include warnings.

As someone who leads an active lifestyle and is always on the lookout for hydration options that support my health and fitness goals, I was eager to try Designs for Health ElectroPure Hydration Packets. After consistently incorporating these clementine-flavored electrolyte packets into my routine.
First and foremost, the flavor of these packets is delightful. The clementine taste is refreshing and not overpowering, and I appreciate that it’s achieved without the addition of sugar. It’s a fantastic alternative to the overly sweet sports drinks on the market, and it doesn’t leave any unpleasant aftertaste.
The mixability of the powder is another plus. It dissolves easily in water without any clumps or sediment, which is a pet peeve of mine with other drink mixes. I’ve added it to my water bottle before heading out for a run or a workout session, and it’s been excellent for keeping me hydrated and replenishing the electrolytes I lose through sweat.
As for the packaging, the stick packets are convenient and travel-friendly. I can easily throw a few in my gym bag or backpack, and they take up almost no space. The individual packaging also ensures that each serving stays fresh until I’m ready to use it.
If I had to note one, it would be the desire for more flavor options to keep things exciting, but the current clementine flavor has not yet lost its appeal to me.

These are great especially for travel, I love them come with individual packs, for lunch, hiking, vacation, etc, they are good anytime. Living in a dry climate they are a must for everyday those electrolytes. A must have.

One day an electrolyte company will realize that things don’t need to be so sweet. Even with stevia or no sugar, a very mild touch of sweetness is plenty to cover basic electrolytes like potassium and magnesium and salt. The flavor here is still way too sweet, but if you use half a pack and double the suggested water, it’s just about at the perfect flavor. In short, this means I’m getting more milage per pack, so I don’t mind, but way too concentrated on the sweetness level!
