I love that Amazon always delivers promptly. My “unsatisfied” comment was because the box needed to be packed tighter with something to keep the products from banging against each other since the vitamin D was in a glass bottle and the kitchen timer was metal.

This is a great supplement and the added vitamin K should help with absorption. I am thrilled to find this option. I have not had any response to taking vitamin D alone. I will have to wait to see if my numbers improve now but after only a couple weeks I already feel more energy.
I generally struggle taking any medication in liquid form but I do fine taking this supplement… no weird texture, a slight sweet taste, easy to take.

I use Designs for Health products based on my medical doctor’s referral. She recommends this to all of her patients, although she tends to refer them to the straight Vitamin D vs the Vitamin D/K complex product. For those who wonder why, it has to do with the fact that many of her patients are on medications that are not compatible with Vitamin K supplements so pay attention to any disclaimers you see on the product or in write ups. I’m taking the complex since I want to accelerate bone healing from a fracture. While I can’t say yet if its working or once the bone heals if it was successful in accelerating the healing since I’m taking more than one product, I can say that I know from experience that the Vitamin D product works phenomenally well. If this product works even half as well as the Vitamin D product, I have no doubt I made the right choice in getting this product. I run my doctor’s Vitamin D lab tests and her patients’ Vitamin D levels increase to healthy levels after just one month of using this product as directed. I don’t think you can go wrong with these supplements as long as you make sure there are no contraindications for your situation and as long as you take the recommended dosage. Taking prolonged, higher dosages will give you unhealthy levels of Vitamin D.

This product caused me to have serious sleep disturbances. I just stopped taking it after 6 weeks and my sleep has gone back to normal. I didn’t make the connection at first but the first few days after I started taking it I got bad anxiety. Then my sleep started getting worse and worse until I could hardly sleep. I suddenly realised this all started when I began taking this product. I stopped taking it and four days later I started to feel better and my sleep went back to normal. I’ve thrown the bottle away – it’s annoying because it was expensive but it caused me so much distress I can’t go through it again. I was literally getting 3-4 hours sleep a night.

After I purchased this, it was ironically taken down and I couldn’t go back and find the product. I found a new page with the same product but seemed fishy. Tastes terrible but wasn’t to terrible I couldn’t just drop in and swallow. I used this product for about 3 weeks and felt no difference in well anything. Emulsions are probably the best, quickest and easily absorbed in the body for Vitamins. Just drop that on your tongue and swallow it for excellent absorption. Vitamin D3 is especially important if you don’t go out in the sun so don’t disregard this product as another vitamin-fad since this is one of the most important ones to give you energy.
What’s also great with this particular product is that it’s combined with Vitamins K1 and K2 which work in tandem with D3 for better absorption. I’m no medical doctor, but a quick search gives us “Vitamin D promotes the production of vitamin K-dependent proteins, which require vitamin K for carboxylation in order to function properly”. So, you basically need these two vitamins to work together the way nature intended. Many other products are only Vitamin D3 which would require you to buy a SECOND PRODUCT to get Vitamins K1 and K2 as well to reap the benefits fully. So, although this may seem expensive, you are getting two products in one. Also remember, those vitamins are fat-soluble which means that you should be taking and eat something fat right before or after. Eggs, Nuts, Toasts with butter, fish, whatever that has fat content in it will help absorption as well.
This lasted me about 3 months of taking it everyday. Your millage may vary.

Bought this off of my Dr’s suggestion because my body doesn’t seem to absorb the capsules very well. After taking 6k IU/day for 3 months, my Vitamin D numbers came up 7 points!! I’m still lower than I need to be, but that was the first increase I’ve had in 3 years!!! I only wish Amazon had the 5k IU version. Highly recommend this brand and trying the liquid if you have malabsorption issues like me. And the taste isn’t bad either. It doesn’t taste like candy, but it’s not as bad as taking liquid Omega 3!
