First off: I will say this smells like restaurant/rest stop bathroom hand soap. Heavily perfumed it seems. If they made a non-scented version it would be perfect. That being said, this doesn’t bother my sensitive skin so that’s good. It does make my skin feel softer. It contains lanolin and does leave a bit of a “waterproof” feeling on you. I have been using it on my face, arms, and belly, and will probably start using it on my legs too. Used it on my hands for the first time last night and today my hands feel very soft and smooth!

I only used it a couple times, because it had a greasy feel, smells like cheap laundry detergent (which I don’t like), it is mostly mineral oil and very, very little tepezcohuite. On the plus side, it did seem moisturizing and didn’t cause my sensitive skin to break out.
FYI the Ingredient list is (in order): Water, Mineral Oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Triethanolamine, Anhydrous Lanolin, Hydrolized Collagen (Propylene Glycol, Methylisothiazolinone and Idopropyl Butyl Carbamate), Fragrance, Tepezcohuite (Mimosa Tenuiflora), Vitamin E and Ceteareth-20.

My sister recommended this night cream to me, and I am glad she did. I usually use Eminence products and I still use the Monoi Night Cream a couple of nights a week along with this cream. I love the rose fragrance. The cream isn’t too heavy for me and it moisturizes very well. I am 56 years old and live in Arizona (dry heat). I have been using it now for almost 2 months and have only used half of the jar. A little really goes a long way and I put it on my face, neck and upper chest. My skin is soft and it has minimized the surface wrinkles. I smile a lot, so a cream isn’t going to decrease my laugh lines and eye crinkles, but that’s ok. I will be reordering this and really hope they don’t discontinue it. I also got the day cream and love it as well. I do break out if I use the wrong products and these have not caused me to break out since using them. I am a fan.

Where do I begin in describing what a wonderful facial cream this is? This is actually my second jar and I’m going to be needing a third pretty soon! I first discovered it last year, having read an article online about how Salma Hayek raves about this cream. I looked it up here on Amazon and had no trouble finding it. It is so reasonably priced and since I’ve always loved how beautiful Ms. Hayek’s skin is, I decided to try it myself. I also went online to research the main ingredient – Mimosa Tenuiflora. It’s a plant grown in Mexico that is an anti-inflammatory and doctors use it on burn victims down there. At first, I didn’t know how to incorporate it into my nighttime facial regimen so I started off just using it like a serum, before my moisturizer. I didn’t really know what to expect at the time and after a few weeks, I gradually stopped using it, sticking the jar in a drawer. About a few months or so later, I pulled it out again and decided to give it another try. A little bit about my skin: I am African American with oily, acne-prone skin. I’m in my early fifties and still have acne issues (I was told this would clear up once I got out of my teen years. It, didn’t, lol!!). With the high melanin in my skin, when scars heal, they leave dark marks behind so in addition to fighting acne I’ve got to deal with that as well and I’ve found some wonderful products to help with that. At the time I started using this Tepezcohuite night cream again (pronounced ‘teh-pez-co-wee-teh’), I had an acne bump on my face, on my jawline, under my right ear. It was under the surface, I could feel it coming in and I was bummed because it was already starting to create another dark mark on my face that I was going to have to fight in the coming weeks. So, I did my face regimen, put on the night cream and went to bed. The next morning, when I was washing my face, I noticed that the ‘bump’ had gone down a bit. I was pleased but didn’t think too much of it. That night, I used the night cream again and again in the morning, I saw that the bump had diminished some more. Holy cow! Is it this cream? I wondered. Every night, I kept using it and not only noticed that the acne blemish was diminishing even more until five days later, it was gone, but the dark mark it was causing was lightening too. And over the course of the next couple of weeks, I noticed an incredible improvement in the dark marks already on my face. For the most part, my main go-to moisturizer is good old fashioned cocoa butter, which has worked on my dark marks since I was a kid but it works slow. But the Tepezcohuite works a lot quicker. It’s the anti-inflammatory properties, I’m guessing, which makes it work well against my acne, but it also has properties to clear the dark pigmentation. Since that ‘experiment’, I’ve never NOT used it at night. I use it more like a treatment rather than a moisturizer, wearing it under my cocoa butter and it works well with it, and it also works well with the serums I use (hyaluronic and vitamin C serums). I am so blown away by the results from using this night cream. Please, give it a try if you have oily, acne-prone skin, if you are prone to dark marks. This has been a definite game changer in my facial regimen!!

I bought the cream in June and used it daily on my neck and I see improvement. It smells nice, not overpowering and moisturize my neck really well. I started to use it on my face too and it really gives a nice feeling for my dry skin. I will by the day cream, as soon as i am finished with my other product.

Even though this is a heavy cream, it absorbs very quickly and does not leave a greasy layer. I have only used for one week on face, chest and legs. My legs are much softer and less dry than with using regular lotion. The only reason I give a 4 rating is due to strong smell.

Ever since I read that actress Salma Hayek’s skin care strategy is this Tepezcohuite cream made of mimosa plant, I have wanted to try it!
So, I was really happy to be able to order it via Amazon.ca. The face cream has a pleasant smell. It’s light and not greasy! It also contains Vitamin E and collagen which are vitally helpful in repairing tired-looking skin.
Having used the cream on my face and body for two weeks now, I can see dramatic improvement in the tone, texture, smoothness and overall health of my skin!
I would recommend this cream to my family and friends!

I discovered this product by researching randomness. I needed something to help my skin to retain moisture anyway, so I figured why not for the price.
My skin is often bone dry due to my retinoid. No, I’m not using too much and yes, the strength is too strong. That’s not the point.
Anyway, I’ve been using this product for about 5 days and my face looks and feels more supple and soft. I find myself wanting to reapply throughout the day. This is a night cream so it is thicker, but I like using it when I’m not wearing makeup .
My only complaint is the smell and quite frankly , i prefer it over a perfume odor . It smells medicinal, but even that dissipates .
The color is odd, but that doesn’t bother me either .
I highly recommend this to anyone who has overly dry skin like myself . It’s affordable and effective .
