I had been struggling with a UTI for almost a week. A while back I was told that cranberry juice was supposed to help eliminate the infection but it was doing nothing for me. In fact, it was probably making it worse. I tried looking everywhere for a natural solution when I stumbled on an article talking about D-Mannose. At this point, what did I have to lose? I decided to try it. I got a small amount from a different brand first. It seemed to be helping, which was great. Unfortunately, this infection was so rooted at that point that I needed more powder. I found the best price at Bulksupplements!
It arrived in the package shown in the picture which is so much easier to use than the little bottle of the previous brand. My only complaint is that the “zipper” on this specific package is slightly deformed and is difficult to close sometimes but it’s not a big deal if you keep that fact in mind. I used 1 to 1.5 teaspoons in a glass of water every few hours in the beginning. The taste was slightly better than the other brand, but not too much different. I would describe it as a hint of sweetness in the water. The more powder to water ratio that I used, the worse the taste got for me, but I am very sensitive to tastes in my water so it may not be a problem for others.
Bulksupplements brand D-Mannose seemed to work even faster than the previous brand and in no time at all, the UTI was gone. I was really hoping to not take another trip to the doctor to get some horrible antibiotics and I’m glad to say that I don’t have to. I may even start to use this as a preventative as well as a cure.
Overall, I would say that Bulksupplements Pure D-Mannose Powder is the best that you will find. The price is great and it works very well. Even if you were struggling with some other brand D-Mannose, I would try this one before you give up. I highly recommend it.

This last January I suddenly came down with a fever, severe body aches, and terrible stabbing pain under each rib. I was diagnosed with a uti with the possibility of it being in my kidneys. I was terrified of a hospital visit (the expense) so I asked for the doctor to give me some injections of antibiotics and an oral rx. It seemed to clear up after 10 days of the antibiotics, but after about 3 days from my last dosage, I could tell that I had a uti with the classic burning and pain in lower abdominal area. I went in and they tested and grew a strain that matched the same bacteria as it has from before. I was given a different antibiotic. That one helped a little, but I still was uncomfortable after the 10 days, and the day after my last dose I was feeling really terrible. So, i went back in and they tested to make sure it wasn’t an std or anything else going on down there. Everything was fine, but they sample grew back the same bacteria and was even more densely infected than when I had gone in initially. So, I was given monurol (an expensive, one-time dose antibiotic) . That did nothing. I was so scared and depressed by this time thinking that I had an antibiotic resistant uti and would need to get iv antibiotics, and worried about that even working, and thinking about all the damage to my body from these antibiotics. I had been trying other cures too; loads of vitamin c, probiotics, garlic supplements, acv, and dmannose. I obsessively googled information on curing UTI’s, which added to the terror of some people’s horror stories, but it’s also how I discovered a miracle cure (to me). I was not taking enough d mannose to rid myself of the infection. I started taking 1 tsp every 1-3 hours, plus mixing a few teaspoons into a gallon jug of water and drinking throughout the day. Within 2 days i felt wonderful. I was buying the little jars of the stuff from the vitamin Shoppe, and it was getting quite expensive though. I went through about 3-4 jars in about a week, and quit when I ran out. I was feeling great for several months until I was suddenly hit again with body aches, high fever, and flank pain. I almost went to the ER because my fever got to 104.2 and I was getting delirious. The fever finally went down and I knew I needed to find some affordable dmannose in bulk, and found this product. I bought a jar at the store to get me by until this came. It only took 1.5 days to get here. After 2 days of taking tons of the dmannose, my fever and pain was completely gone. I’ve read that some people get diarrhea and upset stomach when they take d mannose. I did get bloating and pooped a lot (no diarrhea)(sorry for the tmi), but, to me, it was nothing compared to the horrible side effects and destruction to the gut flora and good bacteria that the antibiotics cause. I am so happy and relieved that I just want to tell everyone about it. Fortunately, for the people in my life, nobody I know had issues with UTI’s though, so I have nobody to share my exciting discovery with who can truly appreciate it. I mean, I can’t even explain the relief of not having to worry if I’m going to die from complications from an antibiotic resistant uti, or go into horrible debt from medical bills trying to cure it, or causing horrible damage to my body and changing my health and quality of life forever from the overuse of antibiotics. I read a lot of awful stories of these things happening to people. Anyways, what I’m getting at is that I’m not a big review-writer, and I am only sharing this to help other people because this has helped me out so much.

I am very pleased with BulkSupplements Pure D-Mannose. I occasionally get UTIs from sex or bubble baths and have the occasional need to take something for the discomfort. This quality product is very effective without the expense (financial and health wise) and chemicals. The powder arrived quick and well packaged. Upon opening, it has a very light, sweet smell. Re-closing the zippered package was a little challenging as I had to shake the powder down but not difficult enough to be frustrating in my opinion. A quick taste of the plain product reveals a slight sweet taste. It mixes well with liquids. In water it practically disappears. I actually gave some to my friend’s daughter in a glass of water without telling her (with her mom’s permission, of course) and she never knew until we told her. Like me, her slight irritation disappeared. I use it in water, juices, yogurt, on my cereal, and more. I tend to use it as a preventative when romance is high or when planning on a relaxing bubble bath at the end of a long week. It has served me well and I have avoided trips to the local doctor and the pharmacist. I stumbled upon this D-Mannose while researching for natural ways to deal with UTIs. I originally tried another highly rated brand but BulkSupplements had the better price and a greater amount. If you research D-Mannose, you’ll find that it not only supports overall urinary tract health by reducing the binding of unwanted bacteria to the lining of the urinary tract and balancing the flora, but it is reportedly safe for long-term use and does not interfere with blood sugar levels. I highly recommend BulkSupplements Pure D-Mannose for the quality, the price, its ease of use, and to help significantly reduce the risk of recurring UTIs. My only complaint/suggestion to BulkSupplements is that they list the amount in ounces as well as grams. But, this suggestion does not affect my rating.

I use D-Mannose to fend off e-coli UTIs. This product upset my gut similar to the sweetener erythritol and my UTI did not improve until I reverted to a brand I have used in the past. I have serious doubts as to the contents of this product. Very disappointing for the cost. It will be going into the bin.
