This product is absolutely amazing! Turmeric has positively impacted my life in more ways than one. I have very sensitive skin and I also have my mothers genetic back problems. Ive used turmeric for over a year now and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin, pain level and inflammation throughout my body. I love this product so much that I wrote an informative speech about the many benefits it offers. Here is a piece from my speech where I included a brief interview with my mother.
My mother stated ” at times there were no words to describe how horrible it was living in such a tremendous amount of pain. There were days in which I could hardly move, do basic things around the house or even get out of bed. It was like living in hell.” My mother has a metal plate in her neck along with donor bone and screws, ribs resected from both sides, a neurostmulator in her back and she also she suffers from fibromyalgia and sciatic nerve pain. For my mother, turmeric has changed her life and made it to where her pain levels on a day basis are managable. For years doctors perscribed morphine, norco, oxycontin, codeine and a variety of muscles relaxors. However, once she started making turmeric as part of her daily regimen, she was able to wean off of all pain killers.
I can’t begin to say how wonderful this product is! I have recommended it to numerous people and I will continue to do so.

Within the first week I noticed that the stiffness and pain in my joints had subsided a bit, so I felt encouraged to keep taking the supplement.
I’ve been dosing with two Capsules in the morning (w/ a meal) and two in the evening (w/ a meal) for about two weeks now and feeling pretty much the same way I felt after the first week—slightly better, less pain and stiffness in my joints.
According to the manufacturers guide, “Curcumin is recommended to be taken three hours before a meal, or three hours after”; however, I didn’t like the slight burning sensation I had in my stomach from what I assume is the Black Pepper Extract (Peperine), so that’s why I chose to take the capsules with a meal, and it has helped.
The product comes with access to a free guide, but I find it to be laking a little when it comes to clear and concise instructions…
The guide states, “Our certified organic Turmeric formula contains 2,250mg of turmeric curcumin with 95% standardized curcuminoids per serving and 15 mg of black pepper extract.” The label on my bottle’s label shows 2 capsules are equal to 2,100 mg of Turmeric powder. (Perhaps I’m missing a more obvious link between 2,100 mg of turmeric powder plus 150 mg of Curcuminoids to show how they arrived at 2,250 mg total?)
I also find the guide to be rather confusing when it comes to the recommended dosage—it states: “For Turmeric in powder form, with black pepper, it is recommended to take 400 – 600 mg, 3 times per day (consuming 1200-1800 mg daily).” Again, the guide mentions nothing about the bottle label showing 2 capsules are equal to 2,100 mg of Turmeric powder.
But I’m willing to concede that my confusion might stem from a lack of comprehension on my part rather than any negligence on the part of the company. (I’ll admit that I like things spelled out when it comes to instructions.)
That being said, the company does appear to be making strides when it comes to providing a good product overall.

I was taking Meloxicam to treat spinal arthritis, but noticed that it made me gain weight and a few other negative side effects. My doctor recommended I try turmeric to treat the inflammation, so I researched a variety of brands and settled on this organic one from Purity Labs. Not only has it reduce my spinal discomfort by probably 80-90%, but it has also reduced my psoriasis/eczema outbreaks. I also have stomach/digestive issues that this product has not complicated as others have noted. It may not work for everyone, but it absolutely works for me.
Update: When I began taking this supplement 5 months ago the bottle recommended 2 capsules (1,125 MG each) 2 times a day. But the bottle came with a card that said the bottle is mislabeled and to actually take 3 capsules a day. This past month the card insert was no longer with the bottle, so I called the manufacturer for clarification and they said that they had revised the formula to fit 3 capsules-worth into 2 larger capsules. I noted that the capsule size has not changed at all. The representative was very pleasant, but seemed a bit uninformed…or the company’s internal communications are slipping (no one is perfect). I’m not sure what the case is, but in the 2 weeks that I have reduced from 3 capsules a day to 2, my spinal discomfort has returned. I will go back to 3 capsules a day until I see a noticeable increase in the size of the capsules. I recommend others who are just starting this and don’t notice an improvement in their symptoms also try 3 capsules instead of 2.

In addition to this Purity Labs Turmeric I’ve tried one other brand that has their version. I have to say that after taking the Purity Labs Turmeric for almost 3 months now I have felt a more positive difference than the other brand. I go to the gym regularly and experience inflammation quite often too, at first I didn’t notice much of change but after the second week the product started kicking in. My pain began to go away after work outs and lower back pain dissipated as well. Fast forward to now and I feel much better than before taking Turmeric from Purity Labs. Another pleasant surprise that I didn’t anticipate is it helped with the few times I’ve had an upset stomach. I’ve also started to notice my brain being more clear and focused while using this Turmeric. When taking supplements they sometimes make my stomach uneasy but that was not the case with this one. The one thing I would mention is that I found it easier to take after eating something even something light but that could just be me. All in all I am quite satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it to others. I hope this helped! 🙂
