I’m 40. I guess I am on the brink of what I previously considered to be the age where the body begins to fail. Actually, I’m thinking when I was younger I probably determined that age to be closer to 30. Anyway, here I am, officially middle aged! Some days I feel a little rougher than others and I know that I definitely could have taken better care of myself up to this point. My energy and focus are often lacking. When I came across this product, I noticed that it was geared towards those upwards of 60. I decided that despite the marketing, I would give it a go. I’m glad that I did. I noticed a significant improvement with my mental acuity and my focus has been less inclined to wonder. My overall mood seems to be better, but I should add that I simultaneously introduced a healthier diet and moderate exercise program when I began taking these. I firmly believe that no supplement is a cure all approach and is more of an aid to top off healthy overall choices. This is a great product, but the price point makes it unaffordable to many people. I understand quality ingredients cost more, but I can’t justify paying much more than $30 a month for any one supplement. If you can afford it, by all means, give it a go.

There is 1/2 cup caffeine equivalent in each dosage. I have to watch my caffeine intake and can’t drink coffee with this supplement. I have found the most benefit from the plain phosphatidyl serine supplements. Maybe I will just switch to them. These are very expensive. I have received similar results from Focus Factor from the drug store. I do notice some improvement in functioning. I don’t think the amount of improvement is major and don’t know whether the improvement is from other factors in my life.

I am 78 years old. I am clear-thinking, but for about a year have been having trouble recalling names like a tv actor, etc. I asked my doctor and she said that as long as it eventually comes to you, don’t worry about it, but it is disconcerting. A few months ago, I bought a bottle of Cognilux and the problem abated. Then I cut the dosage in half and I was still better, but not as good. Then I ran out and it has become worrisome again. So, today, I ordered Cognilux again and plan to continue taking it as directed.

Cognilux appears to be thoughtfully formulated and I appreciate that those who had a hand in it’s development are willing to identify who they are and to stand behind their product.
Transparency: Nation’s Health MD has a broad internet presence including their own web page, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and even some television appearances by one of their founders. On their web page they name and introduce in detail the members of their advisory board, which include a pharmacist, a nutritionist/speaker/author, and a degreed researcher/science writer. Their web site contains many ways to contact them. The company does have several trademark applications, all dating to 2023, which suggests they have a brief track record.
Accountability: They claim their product is made in Good Manufacturing Practices Certified facilities, but don’t name their certifying body. I didn’t find any mention of third party lab analysis specifically, but I’ve read that Amazon requires at least one Certificate of Analysis (COA) from an accredited laboratory (I would guess that with a pharmacist involved there is regular lab testing done, but I don’t want to assume).
Quality: Safety sealed with a month’s supply of easy to swallow, unscented capsules. It seems to be a thoughtful blend for cognitive support from what I’ve read (though I’m no expert). I have been taking Bacopa for 45 days now and have read that it takes at least that long for it to have an effect. Cognilux does contain 40 mg caffeine, so I will be not be taking it in the evening.
I’ve heard caffeine can have a positive effect on cognition, but I personally prefer to my caffeine other ways. GMP & third party certification with at least one named certifier would likely move this into the 5 star category for me, but it does say something that real people (see their website) are willing to stake their reputations on a product they developed.
