I rarely offer up a 5 star rating for skin care. To be fair, I try a LOT of skin care products, at a variety of price points, and often the promises they market just aren’t delivered. This Triple Lipid Restore by Obogee is different- they don’t make outrageous claims on the box, but by looking at the ingredients, I can see apple stem cells/extracts, cholesterol, fatty acids, ceramides, etc.- all things that are great for helping my skin barrier. While the cream seems thick, my skin drinks it up like a mega dose of hydration. My skin genuinely feels quenched by it! And, it is transformative to my skin- as well as applying it to my face, I have tried applying it to one hand and not the other, and the difference is incredible! The hand with the Triple Lipid Restore is incredibly soft, much smoother, and significantly less crepey. It also looks less dull, and dare I say, has a slight radiance? I really, really love this cream. Is it pricey? Ehhh, yes and no. The initial price point is on the steep side, but you have to realize that you are also getting 3 oz of product, whereas most face creams range from 1 oz to 1.7 oz. So, in reality, the price really isn’t that horrible, especially once you try it and realize how beneficial it is to your skin. For reference, I have dehydrated skin that tends to be on the dry side, and my skin is often reactive to products. I experience ZERO irritation from this cream, and didn’t notice any scent to it.

The texture is great—smooth and light. It does not feel greasy. I like it.

DON’T BE LIKE ME: This says to “Use the provided small spoon to dispense…”, but no provided small spoon came in the box. I even dug around in the jar in case the spoon comes inside like a protein powder scoop, but it does not. If you didn’t get a spoon, don’t go digging.
This comes in an attractive jar. It doesn’t look like the one in the picture, but is close. And the “Actions” section in the picture is entirely missing from the back of the jar.
I wonder how much you’re supposed to use if you didn’t get a small spoon provided?
Also, when I opened the jar a lot of it was up against the lid and there was a big empty space in the cream, like when you get a soft serve ice cream cone and they leave a hole of nothing in the middle of it. When you tap it down the cream only comes up to the base of the neck. Chances are that’s the way it is done, but for almost $100 I wouldn’t mind them filling the neck of the jar, too.
If you did get a spoon, it says one spoonful should be enough to cover the entire neck and face, but in the pictures there are some women putting on what looks to be a lot more than a spoonful. I point that out in case, like me, you might use the pictures as an indication of how to use this.
The directions on the jar are confusing to me: “Apply a small amount between fingertips, warm and chest once or twice daily.” I find no clarification on the paper that comes with the moisturizer.
The obogee site is functional and informative. It says their products are manufactured in the United States. Like another reviewer here, I won’t put anything made in China on or in my body, simply because their manufacturing standards and environments are not consistent enough to ensure the purity and quality of the product.
For some reason the skin on my forearms has become really dry lately. There is a cover over this when you take the lid off, and it has moisturizer on it. I scraped it off into the jar, then just wiped that cover over my forearms, and they aren’t dry anymore! WOW, that’s impressive. And my arms feel smooth immediately; some creams end up feeling oily or clammy for a while after using them.
A few minutes later while looking over the site I saw “with natural ingredients…” I looked at the ingredients and they include propylene glycol. I have stopped using products for less than that. For that, too, but also for less than that. So now I’m trying to decide what to do… soft arms, or not put chemicals on that are going to absorb into my skin??
It’s nice that this doesn’t have a scent. I LOVE scents, but have met quite a few people in the last few years who can’t go some places because of the perfumes and such that others are wearing. I didn’t understand that until I found a scent that actually makes it difficult to breathe when I smell it. So it is smart to make it this way so more people can use it.
She sold skin care products many years ago and likes this. Her comment was it doesn’t feel cheap at all, it’s smooth and buttery, not greasy. She put some on my son’s face because a sunburn had dried it out and said it made it feel better right away. He is young, and of course didn’t think it was dry before she put it on =)
The results are impressive, and according to my wife I no longer have issues with propylene glycol.

This is a nice heavy cream. It goes on well and feels like it would be a great moisturizer. But after about 15 minutes and it has been absorbed, my face looks dry. I used it for a week. No difference. My face is still dry. I went back to my Eminence moisturizer. I’ve yet to find anything better for my dry skin than the Eminence product line. And no, I don’t work for that company. Their products are expensive so I’ve tried to find less expensive alternatives. I’ve yet to find one, including this product I’m reviewing.

Liked it for the value

This product is scent free and goes on easily. It is thick and moisturizing. I thought I was buying a different brand with a similar name.

I have paid a lot more attention to my facial care routine as I age (early 40’s) than I did in my early years. I am always on the lookout for a lotion or cream that feels rich and nice, hydrates well, doesn’t make me break out in bumps or acne AND isn’t too expensive. I feel like this cream checked all my boxes, as it wasn’t too expensive. Definitely give this one a try and see if it works well for you.
I am early 40’s, white, female. I have sensitive, slightly acne prone skin. Dry, and struggle with age spots and melasma.
