This peptide snail mucin eye cream is white, creamy, with a glue-like consistency. I can pull it like melted cheese. I use it around my eyes after toner. It’s gentle on delicate skin around eyes. Gets absorbed fast. After a whole night, my skin around eyes feels smooth and soft. I think it works well on my skin. The only thing I dislike is the scent of this eye cream. I think it smells like some kind of medicine, vitamin B maybe. And it lingers for a long time. I find it unpleasant. But it does fade away gradually. Overall, very effective on moisturizing my under eye skin.

I had previously read about snail mucin being used in skincare. I was not sure what to expect, but as a regular user of a lot of different high-quality skincare products, I could tell the consistency of the Zatra Eye Cream was different right away. Unfortunately, that was not a good thing. It has a stringy consistency that just kept reminding me of its snail ingredients.
In addition, I very much disliked its smell. It is not a strong smell, but even though its scent was mild, it was an unpleasant smell that reminded me of dirt or like what a snail probably smells like. It is good that it is an eye cream since that means only a small amount is used at a time. If it was a facial moisturizer, I would have been very concerned about its smell since so much more is used. I found myself just holding my breath when I applied it. Fortunately, no scent was noticeable after applying.
Despite its odd consistency and smell, it was very moisturizing and my skin felt smoother. I didn’t have the dramatic results like the pictures in its listing, but at least it is hydrating.

There’s a reason Korean skincare is so popular, and this eye cream (a lotion, really) is a case in point. The packaging is straighforward and unassuming, but the product is poweful, does what it claims, and there is a good amount of product for the price.
I’ve been using a snail mucin essence twice daily for years and consider it to be an integral part of my skincare routine, but this is my first snail mucin eye cream. I swapped out my usual eye cream (a luxury brand at nearly 6X the price of this) and have to say, this product performed better for me by far. It is fragrance free, which is awesome, one pump is more than sufficient for both eyes, and the product absorbs quickly without leaving any trace of residue. I found that it performed beautifully under makeup, keeping my eyeshadow and liner in place throughout the day without creasing. It has caused no inflammation at all, and after a few weeks the skin around my eyes does look both firmer and brighter.
Obviously, skincare is a very personal thing and what works for me may be an ill-fit for you. If you’re in the market for a new eye cream, however, this product should be on your radar–especially for the price. Highly recommend!

Have tried this multiple times and every time it caused irritation in and around eyes. Have tried to get used to product but irritation is way too bad. Have had no benefits to using this product at all. The product is very smooth and creamy. Lightweight and doesn’t feel like anything is in your face when on.

I ordered this ZATRA Snail Mucin Filtrates, NIACINAMIDE eye cream. This eye cream is also a moisturizer, and leaves the area around your eye soft. I don’t really see any difference in my eye but I really have not been using it for long, so I guess time will tell.

This is a medium-viscosity eye cream that, both in color and consistency, reminds me a great deal of glue. Unfortunately, this product has a rather unpleasant smell—it smells like I am taking grease from the dinner pan and patting it under my eyes. It takes a moment to absorb into the skin, and thankfully, the smell dissipates (after I wash my hands after using it) eventually. I’m not sure I am reaping any big benefits by using this over my usual eye cream, especially since my usual eye cream is heavier and feels more moisturizing. If I can get past the greasy-gravy smell, maybe I will see some benefit from long-term use.

I think this company makes it’s product with no scents. Which is nice, because sometimes using fragrance oils in products causes cancer and other health issues. Among the ingredients that might be dangerous to human body, one less is always good! This eye cream is exactly what it describes, the texture is of eye cream, and the intended use is for around the eyes. Of course, with any creams and products which requires some time to tell, I am not able to provide an accurate decision on whether or not this is a perfect product for your eyes. However, I am giving this 5 stars for it’s package, which was tight sealed box, and it’s texture, the cream that leaves skin feeling not sticky, and no scent from the cream. I think this is also value for money, if this works very well for the eye area.
