I have very sensitive skin and use several Vanicream products. It is my go-to brand of skincare. Since this is formulated for infants I thought I’d give it a try for both the face and body. It has a nice creamy texture without feeling greasy or heavy. It also absorbs fairly quickly. I usually apply moisturizer to damp skin right out of the shower which works well. However, the next day my skin felt very dry, especially the lower extremities. I think this is a very good product, it’s just not for me. I need a more occlusive moisturizer with some staying power.

Used vanicream on our 3 year old as her primary lotion from newborn to toddler stage and now bought this one for our newest baby – incredibly moisturizing, not sticky and is free of all the things you don’t want in a lotion. Derm recco’d to us years ago and we’ve stuck with it!

As an adult with sensitive skin, I know I’m not the target audience of this product, so disregard if you’re purchasing for a baby. I’m a fan of the vanicream lotion, but the daily facial moisturizer (with HA and ceramides) irraited my skin. So this product, with beta glucan and no HA, intrigued me. So how’s the product? It’s pretty thick, honestly more the OG cream. Applying to dry skin, it pulls at the skin because it’s so thick. Applying to damp skin after shower is much better. The product leaves a very shiny cast on the skin. It irritated when put near my eyes. I’ll probably use it up on the body but I don’t think it’s good for the face, that’s just my take.
