This item tastes horrible!!! Super sour it doesn’t seem like it’s even creatine! Don’t buy, it’s also non returnable and Amazon won’t do anything to help out… horrible experience! I’ve never wrote a review before but felt compelled due to such horrible experience.

I tend to be skeptical of unusual dietary supplements, and I have previously been unfamiliar with creatine products. So I did some research and found that creatine has been well studied and that it is very well regarded for building muscle mass when taken in combination with exercise, and for promoting muscle recovery after exercise, and even for momentary increases in muscle strength.
Several online medical sources say that creatine supplements may also help brain function, including short-term memory and reasoning, though Wikipedia indicates that the evidence for that is weak.
Still, the downsides are apparently rare and few, so it’s worth trying.
However, I also read several sources that indicate the much cheaper form, creatine monohydrate, appears to have greater benefits. To the contrary, other Amazon sellers of this form of creatine (creatine HCL, i.e., creatine hydrocholoride) claim that it is over three times as effective as creatine monohydrate.
The prices of the two forms are much different. Creatine monohydrate is available on Amazon in a 400g container for $13 (80 servings of 5g), vs 120g of this product for $50 (60 servings of 2g). But that’s apples and oranges. I’ve no reliable way to compare the value of the differing forms.
Unfortunately, what is reliable is that the same substance, creatine HCL, is available from a different Amazon seller, as a different brand (Ketostat), in 150 capsules, 1.5g each (total 220g) for $21.17. =$.096 per gram, compared to $.416 per gram in this offering.
Thus this product costs more than four times as much per gram as that other offering of creatine HCL.
That vast price disparity for what appears to be the same substance makes it impossible for me to recommend this offering.

I had always thought that creatine was just for muscle building and for people who spend a lot of time in the gym trying to increase muscle mass. I didn’t really know that it possibly had other benefits for men in their 40s or 50s. I tried to do a little research before ordering this product, and it’s kind of encouraging what I read, but then other articles mentioned that there really wasn’t a lot of data out there yet for some of the supposed benefits. So, this is going to be one of those products that only time will tell if it’s actually going to do me any good or not. What I can say right now is that the powder mixes well, and it has a sharp acidic taste. I’m going to incorporate it into my daily supplement routine and see if I notice any benefits like the ones they mention. It would be great to have faster recovery after exercise, or the ability to build muscle faster, or improved brain function. Also, I need to do more research on the difference between creatine monohydrate and this creatine hydrochloride. I will update this review if I experience anything astonishing or remarkably noticeable.

I have been working out for over 20 years and have used creatine for most of that time on and off. To me, even with HCL, I think a 3g dose would be more suitable than 2g. When compared to the value of creatine monohydrate, this seems a little exorbitant.

This stuff states unflavored I almost choked when I tried it. Was like drinking spiked baking soda. Has a horrible taste. Very unhappy i waited to try it as now i cannot return it

This creatine is effective faster for me than standard creatine.

The powder is bitter and sour in plain water, it easily dissolves
and doesn’t have lumps nor residue = but for my taste needs added to a beverage / juice.
The serving is one scoop = 2 g creatine in water / milk / beverage
which is approx. the amount in many pre-workout powders. (powders often 2-3 g)
The 2 g start being effective for me in approx. 15 minuets which supplies
a short term burst of energy without jitters nor crash.
The $50.00 price seems a bit high for unfavored creatine
however = this isn’t ordinary creatine.

An energizing product that doesn’t upset my stomach
and gives me the same boost as a pre-workout – BUT just doesn’t last as long.
