Supplements help close the gap between modern nutrition levels in our food, and the levels that were there when I was young. But, in my opinion, the supplement industry has both some of the highest integrity companies, and some of the lowest. So I try and give a detailed enough review to get to know the company and product better, to help you determine for yourself whether or not you want to try this one out.
This bottle comes about 2/3 full.
If used as directed it will last one month.
The “best by” date on mine (THANK YOU for putting it on the side!) is Jul 2025, so just under one year from now.
There is no real scent or taste to the capsules, and they are easy to swallow with water.
I like my supplements to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and made in the USA. This says manufactured in the USA. The product page also says non-GMO.
I look into the supplement companies I use because I’ve come across so many questionable ones. The product page has information on the company founder. Their coremedscience site is functional and informative, with more information on the founder, Dr. Popa. They also have their phone number on the site, and their 90-day money-back policy.
I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but I am impressed with this supplement (including that they don’t use the fillers that many companies say they need to use, but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements I know about refuse to), and the company. After reading about the company and their ingredients, I’m going to look at their other supplements as well.

I wrote a research paper on alpha-lipoic acid many years ago, so if you’re not familiar with it, definitely dig a little deeper because I think you’ll like what you find.
This is a high-quality liposomal supplement (my preferred), and in my research, I believe the brand is reputable, but please look for yourself. The supplement industry is rife with shady products, so always look into what you’re taking.
These are easy to take, though I wish I didn’t need to take three capsules to meet the recommended dose. I haven’t experienced any adverse effects using this product. Great product!

I’m someone who deals with short term memory loss, so I’m of the opinion that if anything can help, try it. I do not see this as a miracle cure, but as a supplement, it’s easy to work into a medicine schedule and uncomplicated compared to a lot of other options. It also doesn’t have that super strong odor many vitamins seem to have, which I find to be a major plus. However, it is what a lot of people may call a ‘horse pill’. It’s big, and the material containing it is that cheaper press-together capsule kind, and not everyone takes those well as it’s prone to getting stuck in your mouth or throat unless you take it chugging water. Still, it’s not terrible in the least for those who could use a bit of a boost in focus.

What was in the bottle is great, but it was nearly empty. I’m missing 10 pills from what it says on the bottle.

I’ve taken R-ALA and ALC before with good results, although it took at least 6 weeks to notice any benefit. What I noticed more were symptoms coming back after I stopped taking both of those supplements. And then I ordered this. I can’t say the liposomal form factor has been superior to the products I took previously, but I do feel better in my joints and muscles when I take these two supplements. If it’s a placebo effect, I’m ok with that too. When you’re in pain, you start considering magic as an option to try.
The bottle is opaque and was sealed internally and externally. It was also about 3/4 of the way full which is nice for a change. The capsules are easy to take with liquid and are odorless and flavorless. Keep in mind, this is a month’s supply if you take it as suggested.

This Core Med Science Liposomal ALC and R-ALA supplement is made by a reputable company, with ethical standards.
I’ve been taking R-ALA for years to help with nerve pain, circulation, and energy, and really notice a difference when I stop taking it for a while. When I saw that this supplement also contained ALC, and was liposomal, I was very eager to try it, as liposomal promotes better absorption and utilization.
Since switching to this brand, I haven’t seen any difference in how I feel, which is a good thing, as it’s working just as well as my previous brand. I wasn’t sure, because the amount of ALA is lower, but because it’s liposomal, more is absorbed by the body.
The capsules are larger than normal, but I don’t have any trouble swallowing them. I haven’t experienced any negative side effects, and they don’t expire for a year.
This is a high quality supplement that I recommend.
