We bought this as our daycare requires water babies as their choice of sunscreen. Every daycare parent ordered off this same link. Some kids got one branding #1 of the bottle and some got branding #2 of the bottle. Which the daycare said they just assumed it was old branding. ALL the kids who got branding #2 had reactions to it. Their face turned beat red and botchy over the course of 2-3 days. My son and the other child woke up this morning with puffy eyes and his face was dry and rough and red. Tried to return it with the reasoning that it burnt the kids skin and was told its non-refundable

I mainly liked how well it worked! I had researched prior to buying and it was rated the best at sun screening and I can agree. Took a trip to Mexico. Beach/Pool days. Worked wonderful and easy to apply. No bad odor.

I love the smell of coppertone, it just smells like the beach to me and I find the water babies works great and lasts longer than other brands. Especially going in and out of the water I feel I don’t have to reapply as often. I DO NOT put this on my face though, this product will irritate your eyes! I only use it on the rest of my body and use Neutrogena sunscreen on my face. It is thick but goes on easy and is not pasty like the Neutrogena. I live in Southern California and pretty much use sunscreen daily and I have tried many brands. So even with the eye irritation I rate this one four stars because I feel it gets the job done even if you’re not a baby!

I have used this product myself for years. It is fairly hard to find a good 50 strength so nice to have this available. The original formula was a 70 strength but that is no longer in the market. I am 69 years old and out in the sun every day and use this product every time I am out. This most recent formula is a little thinner than the original thicker formula. I didn’t think I would like it but it is actually better. It goes on easier, you use less and it rubs in easier so it goes on almost clear instead of being white on the skin like the original. I will say it does sting if you get it in your eye but is not unbearable and is easily flushed out. Not just for babies.

My family just returned from a two week Florida trip and I ordered this in advance and had it shipped to our destination. I am happy to report that we had ZERO sunburns! I have an 11 month old baby, and three year old. Additionally, my wife and I used this product on ourselves too. At some point we realized that we were going to need more than these two bottles so we went to the store and purchased the same product, but the new one is SPF 70 (we paid about the same price at the local grocery as we did through Amazon). We used the higher protection on the kids from then on and my wife and I used the 50 SPF. It would be nice to see the 70 SPF available here, but the 50 did the trick.
There was some oily residue when you first apply the sunscreen. Within a few minutes, it was not a bother. However, when you shower later that night, you’ll feel the oily residue again as you clean it off. Once applied and rubbed in, there is no white residue look like some other screens. However, both of our kids did develop a little rash. It was hot and sweaty at the beach and we lathered them up pretty well a three times per day several days in a row so we were not surprised or alarmed. After a couple of days back in the real world, everything has cleared right up.
I can recommend this sunscreen for kids and adults!

I have used this product for 20 years! I was always prone to getting sun poisoning…those itchy bumps, that once you get them, take forever to go away. Finally realized it was NOT the sun, but my skins’ reaction in the sun to the lotion I was wearing. Have never gotten it again since using water babies!! As for it showing up white on your skin…I like that, shows where I have missed places. Just have to take a towel and very lightly go over your skin. takes the white away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOTION!!
