I got this mask to have on hand for when I need to cool down (think yard work in Texas summer) or relax. I am generally not a fan of ice cold temperatures so I prefer to chill this in the refrigerator instead of the freezer. It is soft and comfortable and easily adjustable with the hook and loop closure. It doesn’t stay cold for as long as some other masks I have had but that’s okay because I rarely sit long enough for them to achieve room temperature. I haven’t tried it warm yet but appreciate that it can also be heated (about 20 seconds). The black fabric reduces light but it’s not a black-out mask. The darker color does absorb enough light that simply shutting your eyes usually takes the light level down to very low. Five stars for now. Will update if it fails or does not perform well over time.

Important to note that it’s not just an eye mask but also goes on the lower half of the forehead, cheeks right underneath the eyes, and the temples. It did take me by surprise when I put the straps around my head after having cooled the gel, and I felt the coldness around my ears. I think that was the uncomfortable part for me because my ears like many people’s ears are quite sensitive to the cold. So, I would have preferred straps that did not get cold because my ears and the back of my head got cold. The next time I tried it, I just didn’t put the straps on (such that the cooling gel was mostly just touching my eyes and not my ears and the back of my head) and that was a lot more comfortable for me.
Other than that issue I have, the mask is very high quality and it really does fit well. It feels smooth and soft for the eyes. It will definitely be hard to go back to cheaper eye masks after this because it really does feel luxurious.

These look great- like a Zoro Mask – but they smelled too strong so I had to return them.

I am sighing with happiness right now because I enjoyed a session with this cooling eye mask on a very hot day. It arrived a few hours ago and I immediately put it in the freezer. About 45 minutes ago, I removed it, turned my computer off, and plopped myself into my comfy chair in the small den niche that I use for quiet, peace and meditative practice. I placed the mask on my head and adjusted it so it stayed put. Then I closed my eyes and breathed.
The first few minutes were *cold*. Seriously cold and a little uncomfortable. But I rode it out and let my body relax into it, get used to it. And it did. I could feel the stress in my shoulders drain away.
I love cold. I am far more passionate about winter than summer (which I actually dread). So in the midst of this heat wave, I am especially crazy about taking this mask out of the freezer and letting myself feel this immense cold and the relief that comes with it.
I have several masks but I love these with the Velcro closures, the incredibly soft fabric, the heaviness that, while solid, also feels oddly lightweight and even ethereal. If this could be plugged in and stay cold for hours I might just be “out of it” for the day.
Definitely highly recommended!

This is so soft and comfortable. I got it following eye surgery for swelling but it works just as well when it’s heated. Love it so much I bought a second one for travel. Can be used on other parts of the body for swelling and bruising. IE: ankle, leg wrist etc.

This eye mask is very soft, silky smooth, and calming. You can wrap it around your whole head, including your forehead, eyes, nose, ears, and the back of your head. And there’s heating/cooling gel all the way to near the back, where the velcro attaches.
For migraines, dry eyes, tension headaches, stress, or just plain relaxation, it’s so nice. The instructions are accurate – thankfully they are printed on the mask itself. You can put it in the fridge/freezer for a while, or microwave it (very carefully for a short time) to get a cooling or heating effect, respectively. I found it didn’t get that hot after putting it in the microwave for the recommended time, but I didn’t want to risk going much further. Maybe my microwave just isn’t as powerful as the ones this was tested with.
I prefer the cooling effect anyway. Interestingly, it is a little bit cool to the touch by default. Twenty-five minutes in the freezer and it’s chilly but not frostbite time. You could probably get it colder, but I was fine with it. But seriously, do be careful if you’re keeping it in the freezer for a long time. It can get COLD.
It doesn’t block all light. Surprisingly it’s a tiny bit see-through. But it’s not a sleeping mask, so I’m not holding that against it. It sits snug (but very comfortably) against your face, so you can close your eyes and pretend you’re anywhere else.

I like this eye mask because you can either cool it or heat it depending on what you need it for. I have tried it both ways. I have dry eyes so every evening I put warm packs on the help ease that a bit. I also like the cooling effect when I feel puffy or even overheated during hot days.
When I put this over my eyes, I cannot open my eyes because it rest heavily, but not uncomfortably, on my eyelids. If you have false eyelashes this may not be the best product for you. If you’re laying down while using you can just drape it over your eyes without totally wrapping around your head.
On hot days, I have wrapped this around my neck to cool down, so this is versatile.

This is awesome! As someone who always gets puffy eyes and dark circles, I’ve been using this in the morning after putting it in the freezer for a few minutes and it’s incredible. Honestly even without the freezer this mask is super cooling and great for depuffing and deswelling the eyes. The material is super comfy too! It just requires you to be lying down at least for me because it kept slipping off my face when I was sitting upright. It’s also decent at blocking out light.
