Doesn’t dissolve well. Clumpy – even in hot water. Needs a blender to dissolve completely. Smells delicious. Fairly tasteless though.

I can’t yet comment to the effectiveness of the product because I’ve just started taking it. However I did want to comment on the flavor and texture because let’s face it – if it tastes and feels chalky – you’re never going to drink it regularly. 5 very enthusiastic stars for the flavor and texture!!! I used a milk frother to mix it with a little water and then added it to my coffee. WHOA!!! This stuff is delicious!! I mean right away when you open the tub, it has a very pleasant vanilla scent and that carries through in the flavor. No weird aftertaste. No gritty texture. Just super smooth all around!
I’ll update my review later when I’ve been drinking it regularly. I’m hoping it will help with stronger nails and healthier joints.

I am pleased with this Colla-Holla with Colostrum product. It’s a delicious tasting vanilla flavored powder product that is convenient and easy to take. I like to just mix 1 serving of 1 scoop with a glass of water, my smoothie or yogurt. The jar offers you 30 servings. This formulation is comprised of multi sourced collagen including bovine collagen, Verisol, chicken bone broth, collagen peptides, marine collagen, and hyaluronic acid. Although it contains the benefits of added colostrum, the amount is so small at only 50 mg per serving, which to me is inconsequential. It is flavored with natural vanilla flavor and has no added sugar or sweeteners. It is made here in the USA. The founders of this brand Consult Health are Dr. Terry DuBrow a renowned plastic surgeon and E! television personality and his wife and are the presenters of Consult Beaute and the Consult Health product line. If you want the benefits that a multi sourced collagen product that is natural and tastes good then you ought to give this a try.

I added this to cold coffee, and it mixed in fine, and the foam of mixing it settled down sooner than I expected from adding collagen to cold coffee (high foam is why I usually only add collagen to hot coffee anymore). The smell of vanilla in this is amazing, but I didn’t notice it much in my cold coffee, and while this has maltodextrin in it (which I’m not crazy about), it wasn’t enough to sweeten it, which is good, as it doesn’t throw off how I usually sweeten my coffee. So this is useful to have for days we have cold coffee, which is every other day, to have a collagen that will work with it.

This is the first product I have seen that combines collagen and colostrum. That in itself is not a bad idea. But this product is sweetened with maltodextrin. That creates a few problems. Keep in mind adding a sweetener is totally unnecessary, collagen and colostrum have either no flavor or a very slight but pleasant flavor. They both mix very well. You could easily mix them in your oatmeal or smoothie and not taste it at all. But this manufacturer decided it needed to taste like a vanilla shake. Ok.
Biggest problem with that strategy is that maltodextrin has a high glycemic index (GI), which means when you consume it your blood sugar will spike. This makes it much more likely you will be chasing that spike in blood sugar again very soon. Always best to consume complex carbs that take time to digest. By adding maltodextrin the manufacturer has essentially made a sweet but sneakily kept sugar off the list of ingredients.
Finally, I don’t love that we aren’t told where the ingredients are sourced from. Always nice to know what exactly we are being asked to digest.

Have only used for 6 days, I have say no improvement so far, I guess I’m looking for prolong improvement in skin hair etc. I’m hoping this works because they sent me 2 containers not 1 just to try.

Consult Health Colla-Holla with Colostrum is great.
The vanilla flavor is pleasant, and it mixes easily without clumping. Should see improvements in skin, hair, and nails. The added colostrum is a nice bonus for overall health.
Definitely recommend it for those looking to add collagen to their routine.

I try to take both collagen and colostrum everyday so when I saw this combination collagen powder I wanted to give it a try. The powder is very fine so it dissolves well even in cold liquid (I put it in unsweetened vanilla flavored almond coconut milk). The powder is vanilla flavored but it is not sweetened so I added a little Stevia and it was fine. There is fish collagen in it but there is no fishy taste to it at all. I even tasted it before sweetening it and I could not detect any unpleasant taste, it just needed to be sweetened. Yesterday I also put a scoop of this in my smoothie along with frozen blueberries & strawberries, almond coconut milk, plain yogurt, and protein powder and it was excellent. My husband actually liked the smoothie better with this powder in it.
