Use this product for a week long trip in Snowmass Village Colorado did not have any altitude, sickness or side effects. Flavor was okay I’d love if this product had in blackberry. Container perfect for travel.

The tablet container looks and feels nice, and stays closed on its own pretty well. Despite having a flexible plastic buffer attached to the underside of the lid, somehow the first tablet was still broken apart by the time I first opened it up. When you have all the tablets are in the container, they hold each other in place enough to prevent them knocking around while moving. But once you use some of the tablets, there’s nothing to keep the rest inside from being knocked around during movements. Because of this, there is a much higher likelihood of the tablets breaking apart like the first one did for me.
While it’s technically fine for the tablets to be cracked into pieces, given they will be dissolved before being taken anyway, it is still a problem when it’s breaking apart into such small fragments that it gets lost amid the other fragments from other broken tablets. And some parts will get broken up so small that they become a fine powder, which is even worse to deal with.
I haven’t gotten a chance to try taking them yet, so I can’t speak to their efficacy. But the tablets do smell nice, as if they would have a good fruity flavor. They are quite large, though I guess that is fine given they are meant to be dissolved. Just be aware they may not fit in some smaller water bottle openings without first being broken up.
I did appreciate the well-written FAQ and the clear instruction manual that was included, so that I know exactly when and how to use these tablets. I just wish they were packaged in a way that keeps them all better protected, no matter how many are left in its container.

I purchased Summit’s Altitude Sickness Acclimation tablets for my trekking trip on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, only to have them give me a bad case of diarrhea. I believe it is the magnesium in them, as this element has the side effect for many folks of inducing loose stools.
I acclimated anyway just fine and had a great trek. That said, be careful to try them before you go, and discover their effect on your GI tract. You don’t want to be weakened by something which is supposed to make you stronger!

We used these in Colorado going up to Pikes peak. We are from Florida, so altitude was an issue. They work very fast- 5-10 min.

“Keep Hydrated” I’ve heard it for years. Well, these tablets give me a little variety beyond ‘just drinking plain water’. I found the strawberry flavor to be somewhat too strong in the measurement they suggest, so I had to ‘water it down’. I guess, that pushed me to drink even more. I am glad that (fake) dyes were not in the ingredients. The carrying case for the 20 tablets is good and strong, but I wish it came with a small case for 3 or 4 tablets – a more practical size for a day out. My first Denver day, I was feeling light-headed and not quite right, but I then started with the tablets (& extra water) and quickly went back to my normal. I am happy with my purchase.

They are kind of okayish. Great bottle design though which makes it easy to carry them anywhere. Nice bottle cap to avoid spillage. Took me a lot of time to get effect though which doesnt go with what it says in the description- “Rapid”. Good validity though, the one I got doesnt expire till sept 2025.
