It’s all mental thinking, so you might as well swallow your money instead of this pill. This is all mental, you know you are going to take this pill and you assume you got a good nights sleep, and you naturally think it’s the pill. I have been using this for a week now and nothing has changed. This says take 20 minutes before bedtime and It is still taking me 2 hours of tossing and turning to finally get to sleep. Taking 2 hours to get to sleep you will need Doctors help and a Prescription. There is no way that 5mg is going to help you get to sleep, I will be returning this. I got absolutely nothing out of this product. My opinion may be wrong, help me out, leave a sensible comment. Thanks

For many years I have experienced difficulty falling asleep. My physicians prescribed sleeping pills to correct the problem. Unfortunately sleeping pills merely put a person to sleep, they do not correct the cause of insomnia. In addition , sleeping pills can become addictive and cause side effects.
One side effect I found especially disturbing was “sleep eating”. At first I did not believe that I could prepare and eat food without being aware of the action. Eventually, maintaining and even gaining weight while on a diet convinced me (in addition to my wife wondering how last evening’s leftovers disappeared).
A couple of months ago one of my health care providers asked me if I had ever tried Melatonin. I had not even heard about melatonin and was unaware of its role in helping a person to sleep. So, with a physicians advice, I bought Natrol Melatonin and tried it.
According to the Mayo Clinic ([…]), “Melatonin is a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain.” It maintains the body’s circadian rhythm, an internal 24-hour “clock” that plays a critical role in when we fall asleep and when we wake up. So, unlike most sleeping pills, melatonin is natural to our body.
After one month I am on one quarter (1/4) sleeping pill (needed to be reduced gradually) and regularly fall asleep with ease. In addition, my “sleep eating” has stopped and I have begun to slowly lose weight.
For anyone interested in trying melatonin, I suggest careful application. There is no recommended dosage for melatonin. Individuals react differently to this natural compound. For some 0.3 MG is sufficient, while 3MG is insufficient for others. For some people Melatonin works best if they take it during late morning so 12 hours later they fall asleep, for others it works best at bedtime (although possibly at a higher dosage). After a bit of trial and error, I have settled on 2.5 MG before bedtime.
If you decide to start slowly with melatonin, Natrol Melatonin 5 MG pills can be split. I started with 1/4 pill and slowly increased to find my ideal dosage. I highly recommend Natrol Melatonin for anyone who has insomnia.

I take melatonin frequently and am never disappointed. It’s always great to take something that is natural instead of prescribed medications that often cause liver and kidney damage. Any brand of melatonin I’ve taken is as good an another as far as I can tell..this is no exception and it puts me right to sleep.
