When I opened the bag, the smell reminded me of dry milk with a faint smell of french vanilla. I took a spoon and tasted the powder and it had a pleasant sweet taste similar to dry coffee creamer or malted milk. I checked the list of ingredients and sugar or any other sweetener wasn’t mentioned there.
I have tasted unflavored collagen powders before and they normally don’t have a pleasant taste, they are not sweet and they are even a tiny bit bitter. It’s not easy to eat collagen powder with a spoon, but in a cup of coffee or bone broth or in a bowl of soup they are tolerable. I have also eaten coffee creamer with a spoon before and I wouldn’t have a problem eating this if I were a kid or at least had a real ingredient list.
One more thing is that in my experience when collagen dissolves in a liquid, it turns clear after a couple of minutes. This product stays opaque and leaves grainy residue even after several hours.
I looked up the brand online and didn’t find a website or a page on social media. There’s information online indicating that the trademark HuoliMpv was registered for a company producing supplements, there’s an address in China and address of the lawyer handling the registration in the US, but that’s it.
One of my photos shows two powders on a plate, at the top – this product and at the bottom what I believe to be a real collagen powder for comparison.
This product is at a higher price range and although 2 lb is a bargain its value is very questionable.

This powder dissolves well and has no taste. It has 10,,,mg of biotin, which I didn’t realize when I got it. My wife is allergic so she can’t use it. That’s my fault for not reading the label in advance.
