Not sure what else it’s doing tbh, but it does promotes sleep. I take it right before my bedtime routine and it makes me drowsy by the time I get to bed. It doesn’t have any flavor and is very easy to drink in any beverage, or water. I normally lay in bed for a while before feeling drowsy, but when I take this I am drowsy as soon as I get to bed. I take it to get a good night sleep.

This tasty before-bed drink will enhance restorative sleep. After 8 weeks of consistent use, my skin seemed plumper and my fingernails were noticeably stronger, and I feel better-rested in the mornings. I recently received this “Collagen Magnesium Rest + Restore (Honey Lemonade) [30 Serves] | VERISOL Bioactive Collagen Peptides, Magnesium Glycinate & Taurate Salts | Lauren Roxburgh | Calming Nightly Beauty Routine” which sounded like a good supplement to add to my daily diet.
I’m getting old. We all are. Yes, even you! We know how beneficial collagen is for hair, skin, and nails, and since I’m as much a victim to fine lines and wrinkles as anyone else, I figured I should be proactive and try to thwart off the inevitable with some supplements specifically targeted at skin health. I’m no medical expert or anything, but I can say I’m pretty pleased with what I’ve seen so far. I don’t think it’s THE miracle cure or anything, but if it’s helping, at least it doesn’t taste gross. It tastes ok. Not great, but not bad.
Magnesium, as a supplement, is something new for me. I’ve had it as part of a multivitamin bundle, but only while mixed in with various other vitamins. I was not aware that magnesium is beneficial for sleep, so that’s an added bonus for me. I can’t say that I’ve noticed a marked difference since I began taking this, but I’ve also not had any negative side effects to report either.
In all I can’t say too much more about this product. I don’t LOVE the flavor, but I’ve definitely tasted powdered mixes (recommended by people whose opinions I respect) that I thought tasted much, much worse. The flavor is pretty mild, but does taste like honey lemonade to me. It does have a “powdery” quality to it that I find difficult to describe. It’s not as if “powder” is a flavor, after all, but there still IS something about this, even after being completely dissolved in water, that tastes of its powdery origins. I drink a serving when I take my nightly pre-bedtime medications and have not had more trouble sleeping than before I began taking it, so even though I can’t say it HELPS me sleep, I’m pleased that it doesn’t PREVENT it for me.
The negatives? The bag itself and the price. Upon opening the package I received, the “zip” style seal stayed connected to the lining of the bag and now I have a resealable bag with a defective zip that I cannot reclose. The only way to seal it now is with a chip or binder clip. I considered pouring the contents into an airtight container – maybe I’d discover that there IS a measuring scoop in the bag at least, but I haven’t yet. As I type this review, a 30-serving supply is $49.50. That makes each serving $1.65. Not a terrible price if the product is truly delivering what it claims, but since I can’t really say there’s a noticeable difference (at least not in the short-term), I’m afraid it’s too far out of my budget to continue using. Perhaps if it were about half the price I would be interested in adding it to my ongoing wellness regimen, but that sort of decision is completely yours to make. For me it’s probably a no-go on reordering based purely on cost.

Quality collagen supplement, made in the USA. Also includes magnesium, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid. This powder is meant to be mixed into a flavored beverage and taken before bed, as the magnesium is meant to improve sleep. For me personally I have found it hard to consistently take this nightly as I don’t normally drink flavored beverages at night. Even with dinner if I have anything other than water it’s usually wine, and I don’t think that would work… I tried mixing it with plain water and it’s doable but not great. It mixes ok, but you will probably need to keep a spoon in your cup so you can keep stirring it since it doesn’t dissolve completely. It doesn’t have much flavor but isn’t exactly pleasant to drink with plain water. I did try it mixed in a mid-day smoothie and it was undetectable. I don’t think it made me noticeably drowsy, but I need all the energy I can get during the day and don’t want to take anything that may cause me to feel sleepy during the day so I won’t continue to take it during the day. I would probably prefer this in the form of a caplet which would be easier for me to take, but this is just a personal preference. The product is great and provides many positive benefits so I will continue to use this.

This powder is a nice addition to a tea or something like that. I have added it to hibiscus and guayaba leaf teas and the lemon compliments it well. I don’t think I would drink it on it’s own with water but it does have a taste similar to lemonade it would just be a little tart. I don’t think I’ve been taking it consistently and long enough to say if the benefits are truly there but I will say of the collagens I’ve tried it blends really well unlike some that are a little more clumpy and turn everything grey green when they hit the liquid.
