I’ve been using this Designs Sports collagen protein powder for about three weeks now and I find it to be an excellent product with an impressive combination of collagen types which is far superior to many products on the market.
The first thing I noticed when I opened the canister is that it was filled almost to the top. I seem to be getting less and less of another collagen powder I’ve been using which lately seems to be only about two thirds of the way full.
The Designs Sports is a very fine powder with no visible specks. It dissolves easily; instantly in hot beverages and it is completely tasteless and odorless.
As for the price, I’ve compared the size and amount of the product to the other one I’ve been using. The Designs Sports comes with a rather large scoop. One scoop of the other collagen protein powder I’ve been using is equivalent to half a scoop of the DS. So, with just half a scoop a day (which in my case may more cost effective), I’m still getting the same benefits, most notably less pain in my muscles and joints and stronger nails (I’m not sure I can tell if the benefits to my skin are from my skincare products, hydration or collagen products). I hope this information is helpful.

I like how this collagen mixes easily and it has no flavor so you can mix it with other things. I also like how this product has made my workouts more enjoyable. For example, more flexibility and less stress on the joints.

I ordered this collagen complex powder by Designs For Sport to help maintain/improve my joint health as well as for my skin. It dissolves easy and any slight taste is masked in my green tea when I mix it in daily. Some things that I really like about this product is that it’s hydrolyzed which allows for faster and better absorption which can help improve on its benefits. It’s a really good formula that includes 3 different collagen peptides (Verisol, Fortibone, and Fortigel) support skin, bone, and joint health. It’s also NSF Certified and tested for banned substances so you can have peace of mind with what you’re taking. The 13.8 oz container is roughly 30 servings. Formulated and manufactured in the US. This high quality collagen complex formula has definitely met my expectations. I would order again. 5/5

I have been taking collagen for years mainly for skin health, which has proved to be effective. This formula contains 3 types of collagen peptides: Fortigel, Fortibone, and Verisol, which are targeted to support joints, bone strength, and elastin in skin, hair, and nails. It is NSF Certified for Sport, no banned substances in the formula which are important for athletes and everyone else like me. Because of this, this product is safer than the collagen peptides I used to take.
Meanwhile, it is high potency, manufactured in GMP registered facility, and audited twice annually for quality and safety as described. The taste is acceptable for me although it can be better. It is convenient to mix it with hot or cold drinks as stated in the description. I personally add it to the drinks at above room temperature, which might be safer not to alter its quality at high temperature.
In overall, I liked its purity, quality, and convenience of taking with other drinks.

There are so many collagen products on the market, so I had to do a little extra reading to see what sets this product apart. The typical collagen powder that I normally purchase indicates Collagen Type I & III however this product is listed as Fortigel and Verisol. Verisol appears to be your Bovine collagen (Type I & III) and Fortigel has been reflected to be a bioactive collagen peptide designed to stimulate new cartilage growth. I have not taken the product long enough to notice these differences but what I can say is that based on the reading I have done the product seems clean and the trademarked ingredients have been researched. I added a scope to my shake and found that it blends well, doesn’t have a flavor (it’s neutral). It has a long shelf life however I do find the product price to be rather high. I will say if the Fortigel does what it says as an aging woman with a family history of osteoporosis I would say it is worth the cost.
Fortigel is not only a collagen peptide, it also contains hydraulic acid, vitamin K, vitamin C and calcium. This is a combination that I feel offers many benefits.
