I am usually sensitive to the glass-fed collagen after tasted, but this is actually very good. I think the chocolate flavor just hides it which is not too noticeable. I also like that the collagen powder is made with stevia which is always a plus.

This is a full pound of partially hydrolyzed grass-fed bovine collagen. It’s not as hydrolyzed as some collagens I’ve tried, and more hydrolyzed than others. That means it isn’t completely white or odorless, so it is noticeable when mixed with water. Mixed with drinks that have their own flavor, it more or less just ends up contributing a richer/thicker mouthfeel.
Personally, I like that they aren’t overdoing it on the marketing. I don’t really worry about types of collagen, since it all breaks down into individual constituent amino acids during digestion anyway. In my experience, the benefits of collagen depend much more upon dosage. The idea is to guarantee that your body always has the building blocks it needs to build healthy skin, hair, and nails. I do strongly believe that those benefits are real, for what that’s worth.
To bring this review to some sort of a conclusion, it’s a pretty typical example of a solid, high-quality collagen supplement powder, and it doesn’t come with the oft-present manufacturer-added “pink tax” on anything vaguely “women’s beauty”. Factoring in that it doesn’t give off the same questionable vibes as the marginally cheaper competitors, I’ll recommend it as a good option for bovine collagen.
