First try I can tell you it is not completely tasteless or odorless. I put it in hot coffee, big mistake! It had a very slight smell and aftertaste of wet dog. I think the smell hits me first, then I expect the taste. So, I held my nose and took a sip. No smell, but still at light aftertaste. I’m going to try it in a cold beverage next, maybe orange juice, to see if it’s something to be masked. I did do a lot of research on different products and ultimately landed on this one based on the amount of collagen peptides, all the amino acids and that it was supposed to be a high quality pasture raised bovine (and the statement that it was easy to mix, and completely odorless and tasteless). Time will tell, and I will update my reviews accordingly. If I can’t find something to mask the slight odor / taste, or I just can’t get used to it, this may be going back.
Update- I’ve been on this for going on 3 weeks now. I’ve found several options to mix this in to mask any smell or taste. A great mix is with orange juice, EmergenC or Dymatize Iso 100 Smooth Banana protein. If mixed with the Dymatize Iso 100 there I cannot smell or taste anything. This is primarily how I drink it now. My nails are growing in very strong, and I’ve always had thin, ridged and brittle nails. My hair seems to be filling in through the thin spots around my temples. I’ve noticed greater mobility in my back and hip, which is really the reason why I wanted to take it in the first place. I needed my muscles, tendons and joints repaired to help heal an injury. I take this along with NeoCell Blueberry Hyaluronic Acid to help lubricate my joints, and the collagen to help with my connective tissues. So far, I’m very happy with the results. I do notice though if I take this right before I go to bed, I have very bizarre bad dreams. Every time. Not sure why. For the price, this is probably a great choice. Others that are more expensive have less bio available collagen per serving.
Update to the uodate! I have tried several other collagen protiens. Compared to those this literally is tasteless and odorless. The other brands I tried were absolutely intolerable. Through the course of trying this product I have updated my rating from a 3 then to a 4 and now to a 5. For the price, quality and the taste I have found nothing else comparable. I will reorder this again and again.

We used another collagen product for over a year and thought our minimal results were normal. While searching Amazon products for another solution for nails, skin, and hair, I came across this product. Why not try something new I was hoping for better results. I was pleasantly surprised when after a few months my nails became stronger and grew longer. I’ve had very thin hair for a long time but now it’s finally thicker.
It mixes well and I haven’t experienced any lumps. I just put a level scoop in my water bottle, and then put some squash and water in. I just give it a good shake and I don’t end up with any lumps. When I added it to tea, I found it mixed quite well, however, I did end up with a slight foam at the top of the drink – but some more mixing fixed that quite easily.

I almost did not buy this collagen because of all the negative reviews about taste. I’m glad I gave it a chance anyway because it taste fine. It has a very, very slight increase in perceptible taste from the other bulk brand I was buying before that was more expensive. It’s not even necessarily a bad taste.
It is considerably much more affordable than any other brand I have found so as long as this is true, I will continue to buy.

This was originally purchased for skin and hair, but I found out it worked much better for aches. My hands are always sore from typing too much and knees are always sore from too many years of dancing. I was surprised one day when I realized my hands hurt, and then I realized I hadn’t taken any of this powder that morning. It worked so well I didn’t even realize I didn’t have pain anymore, and it wasn’t until I had pain that I realized I forgot to take it. I mix it with a cocoa/coffee type drink in the mornings. It says flavorless, but there is definitely a flavor. I however am pretty sensitive to taste/smell so it could be just me, but I think it really did have a strong odor, but with the flavoring I added, it wasn’t bad at all. Overall, great product, helps bones/joints, not so sure about skin and hair.

Tasteless, dissolves completely without clumping. 2 weeks use, complexion is improving, nails, overall gut and joints improved. Mixes Great in my morning coffee, if anything makes it smoother & richer taste. BEST purchase I’ve ever made for my health, easiest to add to my routine. I will use this daily from now on!
