Commendably, the bottle I received is double sealed with an expiration date of 04-2027.
New Roots Herbal claims their CoQ10 offers enhanced absorption due to a Japanese fermentation process. While it is true that fermented ubiquinone is more bioidentical to the body’s natural CoQ10, it still requires conversion into ubiquinol.
I personally prefer purchasing ubiquinol directly because it’s already in its reduced, active form making it easier for the body to utilize. It has been shown in studies to be more bioavailable than even fermented ubiquinone, particularly in older adults.
I am also somewhat disappointed that the item contains annatto extract and bovine gelatin in the formulation.
While I give New Roots Herbal high marks for transparency and the quality of their products in general, I would look elsewhere for a product containing the superior, more absorbable form of CoQ10: ubiquinol.

The softgels are easy to swallow, and the 200mg dosage feels just right for our daily needs—strong enough to feel like we’re getting a good amount without going overboard.
We haven’t noticed any side effects, and integrating them into our morning routine has been smooth.
From checking out their digital footprint, the company is based out of Canada and seems legitimate, not just another pop-up in the supplement world. However, I urge you to check them out yourself. For anyone looking into CoQ10, these softgels are a solid choice. They’re convenient, and the dosage works well for us.

There are a few reasons I rated these 4*, better than the expected “ , which to me means better than average.
These caps seem well tested, which is always a plus.
The price is lower than most 100 mg pills, but 2 pills, the serving size for 200mg. Is slightly higher than average. But I like the fact that the pills are a lower dosage, so you can choose to take only 100mg a day if you wish.
The third, and most interesting thing to me, is that they contain MCT, medium chain triglycerides. There was some worry that these triglycerides might have adverse effects on cardiovascular health, but some studies have shown that they don’t affect LDL the way that high chain triglycerides do, and are heart healthy “ neutral”. But what MCTs do that is good is help with energy and weight management. So if you are interested in this area, you might want to research that yourself.
Just to make it easy if you want to know if they take vegetarian, they aren’t. If you read the “ other ingredients” , the capsule is bovine gelatin.

To me, CoQ10 is an essential supplement to take. As far as results go and from what I’ve read, CoQ10 shows more promise for effective results than other supplements can. Just from the pure functionality of what the supplement can potentially do. Granted, results are going to vary from person to person. And whether or not someone’s body can absorb it is another factor to consider. This is just my personal opinion and nothing more.
This is made in Canada and seems like good quality. I cannot attest to the health benefits I have received from this long term as I have not taken this on a long term basis yet. But I do notice that I have more energy since starting this supplement. The value for the price might not be up there as the best deal you can get. But also consider how the product is manufactured and the quality of the supplement you are getting. You will have to establish what is worth more to you.
