This is a really convenient way to store and apply moisturizer – I was really pleased at how easily this glides on and absorbs without mess. Fragarnce free but it has a really light pleasant smell that I find tolerable. Really interesting product and would definitely recommend a try 🙂

I’ve been obsessed with trying to get my toiletry items in solid form (e.g., shampoo, conditioner, face wash) so I don’t have a bulging liquids bag when going through airport security. I have sensitive, dry, eczema-prone skin and use Cerave moisturizing CREAM daily after my showers but even that seems to disappear by the next day. I tried Cocokind’s stick on my legs and to my surprise, 24 hours later I could still feel the moisturizing residue on my skin. I also had no adverse reaction to the product. If I could, I would slater this on all over my body but given the price, I’m only going to target areas that get especially dry and irritated.

So this balm stick is the bomb.
First thing – bonus points for pristine, clean packaging. I’m a little obsessive about skincare products. I want them sealed and untouched before I slap them on my face or body. This stick was about as clean as you can get. The entire package was sealed in plastic, with a secondary protective cap inside. The actual top of the stick was smooth, clean and ready to use.
There is a whole lot of moisture hidden inside this chunk of oil. My initial thought was that it looked like a giant wad of gas station chapstick, but as soon as it touches your skin it glides on like a smooth oil. And a little goes a loooong way. Personally, I think it’s best for targeted areas, but you can totally smear it all over and get some serious ceramide benefits if that’s your jam. Just be aware that if you use a lot, you will need to rub/massage it into your skin after applying. It gets really moist if you use too much. A little waxy, but that usually goes with the territory when you have a solid oil product.
As with any beauty products or supplements, results are subjective. For me, ceramide really works…and works quickly. Skin tone is more even. Fine lines are lessened. I’m a big fan. If nothing else, this product really moisturizes your skin. Better than many lotions I have used. And much more convenient for the gym or traveling.
My only callout is a slight nasty waxy smell. It’s that typical ‘unscented’ scent you often get with natural products. I’d prefer a fresh scent added to the recipe, but it’s not a strong enough stink to keep me from using the stick. Still a fan of this product.
