The Celery Extract – What Happened To Me
For many years, I had painful calcium deposits in my shoulders. The pain would come and go, but it usually made it hard to sleep on my side, and it was difficult to do bench presses. I found out that fresh Celery Juice dissolved calcium deposits, so I was going to a local health food store at least twice a month to get Ginger Tonics, made with Apples, Celery, Ginger, and Beets. Several months ago I experienced the passing of a kidney stone. One thing I learned from the experience is that it wasn’t much fun at all. In fact, since that time I have been doing what I can to reduce the likelihood of it happening again. My doctor recommended that I take certain supplements towards that end, and I’ve also been doing a fair amount of research regarding natural remedies for kidney stones. My research corroborated what my doctor told me: that for the most common stones there are no natural remedies that can shrink existing stones. However, there are a number of natural minerals, vitamins, and herbs that have shown promise in studies to help reduce the formation of stones in the first place, and to ease the passage of stones that do form.
This Chanca Piedra (Spanish for “Stone Breaker”) supplement from Happee is a compound of several ingredients for which there is some evidence indicating their effectiveness in doing just that: reducing stone formation and increasing the bodies ability to eliminate them through the urinary tract. This particular brand contains not just Chanca Piedra, but also Magnesium, Potassium, and Vitamin B6; in addition to dandelion root and hydrangea root extracts and a couple of other botanicals, each of which have been linked to urinary tract health based on scientific studies. Of course, I would recommend that people read up on these ingredients (specifically with regard to kidney health) to learn more about them, and of course consult a medical doctor about them to see if they are right for you.
As for me, I figure that it’s worth it to make this supplement part of my daily vitamin and mineral regimen. As I said, I definitely want to do what I can!

I was very excited to try this supplement blend when I saw the ingredients on the back of the bottle. Lots of good stuff in there.
I have experienced some good benefits and some not-so-great side effects from using this product.
I’ll start with the bad, so I can end on the good. The not very fun aspects include:
– if you are like me and have a hard time swallowing pills and have to take apart the capsule, the taste is very foul and not pleasant at all. But not all medicine tastes great so that is to be expected sometimes.
– makes me very drowsy. Because of this side effect, I try to space it out since I can’t take it every day, otherwise I would be too tired to function. And I make sure to only take it at night when I do take it.
– makes me very gassy. I don’t mind this too much, personally, but I could see this being a problem for others sine culturally we are weird about normal human functions. Let’s normalize farting please and thank you.
– powerful diuretic. As long as you are okay with peeing frequently, I think this is actually a good thing. But again, this may pose as an issue for others. Make sure to drink with lots of water. If I don’t drink enough water, my urethra starts to ache in pain from taking this supplement. Good to drink lots of water anyway but especially with this supplement.
Now on to the good! Here are the benefits I have found:
– powerful antioxidant. If you are needing a good cleanse, consider this supplement. I think that’s why I have been so gassy when using this supplement and why it is such a good diuretic as well. The supplement is trying to flush things out.
– excellent ingredients.
– fair price point
– cheaper than medical procedures if you’re like me and live in a country without access to free medical care.
I would recommend this product. Like with any supplement or medication, there can be some negative side effects. My side effects may be different than yours, and I can only speak to mine.
