I don’t have anything to compare it with. This is a lot of tea in a bag, more than I expected. It is crushed fine and so some tea escaped the strainer. I loved the flavor. I teaspoon made a strong tea and I guess that is what matters in the end. Quality product.

This makes great tea: sweet enough on its own and blends well with other herbs.

This is great tea! I consider myself the Tea Queen and this is great tea and a great price. Its also very healthy tea. Google it!

Love that this great product is the real deal. I e learned the hard way not to trust “natural flavors”, even if highly rated. Some teas are incredibly stinky from fake, added chemicals… not this one! Love it, I trust the brand and will order again! Please keep up the great quality!

What I don’t like is that it is shredded, which means I must use my tea ball. What I like is the flavor. This stuff is fresh.
I fill my tea ball, about 4 grams’ worth. I then pour boiled water over it, to just cover the ball, and I let it cool. I then either top up with boiling water to drink it hot, or I pour it over ice, to drink it chilled. I use no sweetener, because it is sweet.
Be cautious! Licorice, real licorice, not candy, can cause more problems than it fixes. I’m no professional, but it helps clear my stuffy nose. It also tanks my potassium levels, when I overindulge. And I love licorice!
This licorice is really good. I am more used to the powdered licorice, which I just drink, ignoring the texture, but I don’t throw away my brewed licorice. I save it and put it in my psyllium husk biscuits. It gives them a nice, lightly sweet flavor.

I’ve ordered this a few times before… In the past, the pieces in the bag were on par with a looseleaf tea, and it was easy to tell what it was. In the bag I just got, it is fine and dusty. Making a tea is more difficult without dealing with the tiny pieces.

Great product! If you’re using an infusion kettle though, keep a close eye on it, as the froth will tend to make the pot overflow.

This stuff is just awful. It is not returnable. I wish had heeded this other very accurate negative review,”The Licorice Root tea is nasty. It smells like alfalfa that has been left in the field and rained on. The taste is worse than the smell, a combination of grass with artificial sweeteners added.”
I will compliment Amazon customer service for making a refund possible. The seller was not at all helpful.
Seller reply,”We are really sorry but Licorice Root is different than Licorice. This is a herb with many herbal benefits.”
Google search,” Licorice root tea is made from the root of the licorice plant known by the botanical name Glycyrrhiza glabra. It’s also commonly called licorice tea or sweet root tea. The tea boasts a flavor similar to black licorice and has notes of anise and peppermint.”
All I can say is there was nothing good tasting that came out that package. Why the seller but a picture of a tea cup on the bag is a mystery.
Thank you Amazon for taking care of the situation!!!
