I can tolerate the strength better

I get nagging post nasal drip coughs. I get allergy treatments and take antihistamines so don’t want to put some heavy cough medicine on top of that. I find this brand of cough drops works better than most because it numbs the back of your throat. I just wish the calming effects lasted longer – I get about an hour’s relief from these. You also don’t enjoy eating or drinking for about a half hour after using these because of the lingering medicinal taste and numbing. But I do rely on them to give me some relief.

Always the best- just hard to find here in Florida now. if you work in a call center and make your living from speaking on the phone you need to keep these around. The only cough drops I use. They don’t taste bad or taste great, but they are not like useless sugary lozenges that gives little in the way of real relief as most cough drops do. These give real throat numbing relief so your cough can subside so you can work or even better get to sleep so you and your famiiy can get rest. Contains benzocaine and dextromathorphan so they really do work. I keep box in my desk drawer at both my work and home offices, in each purse, or rolling booking bag for school. Really suppresses the cough reflex once you develop that tickle or itch in your throat

I have been using this brand, but hydra, now for over a year to control my coughing. The doctor thinks it is from dry mouth due to the meds i take. These are individually wrapped which I loved. 10 pieces in a pack, 2 packs in a box. Seems that hydra is hard to fnd. So I came here to Amazon. Now, it seems these are no longer here either or an outrageous Amt. I had been looking for something that can control my cough while providing moisture…. I found Ludens kiwi/strawberry drops. These are perfect for what I need. Of course, the hydra will always be my first choice as long as I find myself to dry mouth. Otherwise, it’s ludens. Hard candy just doesn’t control the coughing that well. I do hope that they will continue making these. Ps… If hydra is not available, I have tried these. Im just not a berry person. Actually not much of a candy person, but I have learned to suck on something to control the coughing spells. I do really like the brand!

I had to order Cepacol because it doesn’t seem to be available in stores very often (supply chain problems?). It is really the only lozenge I find effective when I have a cough and/or sore throat. I’ve used this brand for years, really, any flavor, although the cherry is good. It’s gotten more expensive so I question value for cost but, well, what hasn’t. So much better than the so-called medicinal lozenges that are like candy.

When my throat gets irritated or I have a cough, these lozenges do a great job at numbing the irritation and stopping the cough, as needed.
The mixed berry flavor is very enjoyable, and has no medicinal taste … and, although I don’t care as much for the honey-lemon or the cherry flavors of this product, they work just as well.
Cepacol throat lozenges also come in lemon-lime and extra-strength tangerine, and I’d very greatly appreciate it if both of those could be offered on Amazon.

This is the first time that I have tried Cepacol Sore Throat & Cough, Maximum Strength Numbing, Instant Action… About two days after an outpatient procedure my throat felt very sore. The nurse who had phoned to check up on how I was feeling had advised me that tubing was placed down my throat (“intubation”) and that was what caused the soreness. To say that the discomfort was relentless and uncomfortable is an understatement. No more than twelve Cepacol lozenges are permitted during a 24 hour span. Directions are to let one lozenge slowly dissolve in your mouth then immediately take a second one to let it dissolve slowly as well. I called my primary Dr. first due to the fact there were other meds I had been taking. My concern was if there would have been an interaction. He told me that the Cepacol was fine to use. Personally, I prefer to stay away from what seems to be excess amounts of sugar found in many products including this one. However, my Dr. replied that it did not matter since my situation was urgent. Therefore I followed the package’s directions, and for me the relief came after I had the second dose of the Cepacol lozenges. There was not much of a numbing sensation, however, I did feel a soothing wamth going down my throat and into my chest; the soreness did begin to dissipate. Shortly thereafter the soreness had just about gone away. I would say that yes, Cepacol is worth the try. I do not know of an other brand that would have done as well or better.
