I got this as a moisturizer for my very dry, ultra sensitive skin, and bandage adhesion which (I have EDS-regularly injured) I often have to wear. Seeing incontinence mentioned, only on the larger one, threw me off, but I used it as a moisturizer? Anyway! It’s a fine texture that leaves your skin very soft. It absorbs immediately and caused no adverse reaction. It didn’t interfere with my current bandage staying put. I like it very much. I docked a star cos even tho it’s fragrance-free, there’s a medicinal odor to it that’s not pleasing to me at all. It takes very long, if at all, to dissipate. It’s just very…hospital? Anyway, $18 at time of review. Fair price for what you receive. Two sizes, good product, made in US.

It’s good to have two sizes of this barrier cream – one for the house and one to throw in the bag for on the go use. The expiration date on the products I received is pretty short. The travel size is 11/10/2024 and the larger size 12/2/2024. As barriers creams go, this one is ok. The cream I received had separated from itself inside the tube so the first squeeze yielded a mess of clear oil. I shook the tube and tried again to slightly better results but my skin became shiny and oily. It may work well for medical use, but for those just needing this as a skincare item, there may be better performing barrier creams out there.

I really like using this Cavilon Durable Barrier Cream Skin Protector Ointment, as it restores moisture to my dry skin. This is especially beneficial to my hands, as I’m always working with them and washing them. So having this ointment to restore moisture and protect my skin is really important to me.
I like that this came with a full sized tube, as well as a travel size-which is great to have in my purse for on-the-go. This product works well, and a little goes a long way! Also appreciate that there’s no fragrance in the cream, as sometimes fragrance in hand creams can bother my hands when they’re extra dry. I think this is an excellent product, and I would highly recommend it! 😊

Some products like bandage adhesive make me itchy and this really helps. Convenient size and easy to apply.

I use my hands a lot and have had issues with dry skin from washing and playing in the dirt.
The best way to use this is to put this on under gloves – if you don’t want to get this on fabric gloves, you can use a vinyl or latex glove over this before putting on your fabric gloves.
This cream has reduced my skin getting small cracks and there is zero smell – it also absorbs quickly. the small travel size went with me on a trip to NYC this past week and was super handy to have.
Love this combo pack and I consider this to be a “hand moisture saver” rather than a “barrier skin protector”.

I got this for my elderly mother who has incontinence issues – she is in a nursing home and attendants are not quick to give her the assistance she needs. I put this on the inside of her thighs for the leaks she frequently has, and she said it helps tremendously with the chaffing between her legs. Mom is happy and a little more comfortable and I am having a big sigh of relief! It is a little pricey, but it works well.

I was a little bit surprised when I opened this barrier cream because I was expecting it to be much thicker, however, it still works great, maybe even better depending on what you are using it for. If you are expecting a diaper rash type of cream this is not that. This cream creates a light, yet protective barrier over the skin. It is great for irritated or very dry skin. It doesn’t feel sticky or tacky and has almost no detectable smell.
It is nice to have around for the winter months or for minor skin scrapes where you just want to have some sort of protective barrier!

Weirdly, runny and separated, water was dripping from the dispenser immediately also a notable kind of rancid oil smell in my opinion 😭 when blending, the water eventually kind of disappeared. Also the EXP was not on the front of the bottle as pictured in the listing.
