    I was told many years ago that Carmex is the best “stuff” for preventing dry, cracked lips during your outside activities. That person was right.
    I’ve tried others from time to time, but I always come back to Carmex.

    Carmex is a great lip balm/protector. I can’t get a “giant jar” from Carmex any more, so I have to rely on the “pocket pots” (I used the “giant jar” to REFILL my “pocket pots”. One “giant jar” usually lasted THREE YEARS!).

    Because the “pocket pots” can be “expensive” when purchased “one-at-a-time”, and the multi-packs are generally CHEAPER on a per “pot” basis, it’s more economical to get the multi-packs.

    I ** DO RECOMMEND ** this product.

    I know it is meant for lips. However, both my husband and I use our hands a lot, washing them a lot which produces dried up cuticles or cracks at the corner of the nails, especially in colder weather. Rubbing some of this in takes care of that easily. Highly recommended.

    Carmex is an 86 year old classic. It was created by Alfred Woelbing, who started making it in his kitchen back in 1937, and selling it from the individual pharmacies he visited in Wisconsin.

    Nowadays it’s still sold in the same little jars, although the lid is more colorful. The recipe is also the same, emphasizing lanolin, camphor, and menthol.

    My lips chap painfully, and not just in the winter. I’ve found that Carmex works best of all the brands I’ve tried, and buy these little jars by the three pack, and carry one of the tubes of Carmex in my pocket.
