I’m giving it 5 starts because I haven’t had any bad reaction to it, but I don’t feel any different either. I’m just trusting that it’s doing its job. I haven’t had my homocysteine levels checked before or after starting this so I’m not sure.

I just bought a second bottle, thinking that I had just mis ordered–now I am reading the description: it SAYS Capsules but then it says CAPLETS. If you have trouble with capets(me!) I would pass on these. I now have 2 bottles…and they don’t do returns.

No two folks will have the same experiences when it comes to the results we get from taking various supplements.
For those folks with “iron” stomachs, they can take just about anything and nothing will bother them, and I say, good for you. For a few of us however – especially as we get older – supplements that we used to take for granted, now can bring plenty of problems when it comes to the gastro end of things.
I’m 75 – and have been a body builder since I was 18. I still hit the gym 4 days a week, spending a good 2 hours a pop working various body parts with weight training. I still take supplements such as Creatine – but beyond that, the typical supplements that I used to be able to take, no longer agree with my digestive system.
As an aside, take the Amino Acid L-Arginine for example, which is so important for fitness, blood flow, and body building in general. I used to be able to take that supplement without any issues. However, over the past two years, taking even small amounts of that amino acid, has resulted in stomach pains and acid reflux.
Now in getting around to TMG. There are those of us, who when trying TMG, have the same reactions as when taking L-Arginine. I wanted to start taking this TMG supplement, but again – I experienced the same issues as I had with L-Arginine – that is stomach pains and acid reflux. When you look at the main ingredient here – that is Betaine Anhydrous (which is a form of acid) – you can begin to see how it could some folks with sensitive digestive issues.
So, I’m just giving out a friendly “beware” here with regard to the Carlyle brand of TMG (or any brand of TMG for that matter). Investing a pretty penny into various supplements, only to discover that they don’t suit your digestive systems, well – it can get expensive because you can’t send supplements back for a refund.
Now again, if you’re younger and your stomach can take most anything, then this warning won’t be for you. If you’re older, do be careful though, and your first indication to stop taking it is when you start experiencing uncomfortable lower level stomach pains and/or followed by acid reflux by the end of the day.
OK – I did my part. I’m just sayin’…

These are fine but I bought them 6 months ago and they were 1,000 mg tablets and now they are 700 mg tablets (30% less) and the price is the same. I preferred the larger dose.

I’ve been taking them for a couple of weeks and notice I’m more energetic (Naturally energetic, not like a shaky sugar/coffee rush). I can’t say whether or not the muscle growth claims are true, but the extra activity throughout the day is surely helpful and it’s not a huge chore to work out anymore. The con is I’m more prone to distraction.
