Got into using ionic liquid magnesium through bodybio, but they stopped making theirs seems in order to roll into a multi-mineral supplement. But I have no interest in taking multi-mineral, but the singular magnesium. I was glad to find this liquid magnesium very similar formula, with potassium and chloride. Bodybio’s dosing was very small, with 10 drops of theirs making only 25 mg, and that’s all I want, as I take separately magnesium taurate.
I like to use the ionic as an additive to my NOW calcium powder that I mix in chocolate milk. As the bodybio’s also had a salty chlorine taste, that this Vital Trace is same was no surprise to me; mixed in chocolate milk can’t even taste at the super small amount I take which ends up just a single drop, as Vital Trace’s is much more concentrated, having 400 mg to 1 teaspoon. As I only want 25 mg that comes to just a single small drop. At that rate this bottle will last me over a year, which I like.
I’m glad to find a substitute to the bodybio as I really like the combo of liquid magnesium to my Calcium citrate powder which is strictly calcium citrate. I have come to also include boron in pill form when having any calcium, so to have it minutely included here is not bad. Not so sure about the Lithium and Sulfate, but at the low dose I target, not too concerned but do plan to check further into their inclusion.
Long term I wait to see how it works. I always noticed a difference if I fail to include the magnesium of bodybio in my calcium, so I await to see how this fairs over the long haul.

This liquid magnesium ingredient list is simple – concentrated water from the great salt lake – but the taste is not good. When you add it to water, it indeed tastes like taking a sip of water in a very salty body of water. I don’t drink juice, so unfortunately that’s not going to work for me.
I will keep experimenting (I’m considering maybe adding it to soup or something in that realm), but it’s not as “easy” to take as some of the gummy or more surface forms of magnesium.

(EDIT:I see a to of people saying how bad it tastes and that it isn’t 400 mg of magnesium without being a teaspoon or whatever, y’all are so dumb and don’t get the point of trace mineral drops. It’s not to get a full rda of magnesium that’s what pills or Magnoil from georgi Dinkovs shop is for.
This is for remineralizing your purified water to add trace amounts of minerals through (2 drops per 16 oz water is my amount) so the water isn’t dead and has better hydrating effects.
Any trace mineral from natural sources water without flavors is going to taste bad, this one is noticeably less bad than the name brand “trace”, and this one is in glass and has a dropper and is better priced and has more magnesium all of which make this a better product than other trace minerals. And with that I yield my time.)
Way less bad taste than the ionic minerals brand, and better price too, and way more magnesium than them which I like cause that’s one of the most important minerals and the one I want more of anyway.
And it comes in glass which the other doesn’t.
And it has a dropper which makes it easier to get precise amounts out wether it’s one drop or a milliliter or more.

I need to take 400 mg of magnesium before bedtime and thought this would be a good alternative to taking three pills of Thorne (my usual) to get that dosage. I cannot take multiple droppers throughout the day (as suggested on the bottle because of the taste) for that reason. The amount needed for 400 mg is 1 teaspoon, but the dropper only has milliliter markings – it takes many droppers full to fill a teaspoon so this is inconvenient and not much of a time saver as I had hoped. But the worst part is the horrific taste which is impossible to mask no matter what I try at the concentration I need – it made me so nauseous that it actually made it harder to sleep! DON’T GET THIS if you need 400 mg in one go…. just don’t get this at all.
