I can’t live without this stuff! I started taking it for depression and anxiety before bed. Not only does it help with my depression and anxiety but it helps with sleeping. This is a great product. I give it to my 7 year old who cannot swallow pills yet. I tried one first to see how it tasted and it was not too bad. I have noticed a difference in my daughter since first giving it to her. She is a bit more calm and seems less frustrated, in general. My friend gives this product to her kids for ADHD. It is not a cure, but it helps. You can always up the dosage too, I give my teens 200mg per day. It really helps take the edge off of their moods.

I have no complaint about the quality of this product. As far as I know, it’s fine. I gave it to my 8 year old son, who has trouble sleeping. It did help him fall asleep, but the next day he would have terrible meltdowns over the tiniest things (which almost never happens). This happened with even as little as half a pill. I’m sure that 5-HTP helps many people, but our son is not one of them.

I have been using this for one week in combination with Folinic acid and B12 for anxiety. So far it has really helped keep me on an even level. I am taking half a tablet in the morning and the others in the afternoon and so far it seems to be enough for me. I am sleeping deeper too which is amazing.

I really like the fact that this is a tablet rather than a capsule because you get to decide how much YOU want to take. It is also sublingual, sweet tasting. It really lifts the mood and helps anxiety too. GABA works great for panic attacks. I prefer it in a tablet as well. The 5-HTP is good as an antidepressant, and the GABA (various brands) can be the ‘calmer.’ A little of both works great for me!

I have tried St. John’s Wort and this 5htp seems to work better for me and I don’t have to worry about sun exposure with 5htp. I told my doctor I was taking this and she said that 5htp works really well.
