I had a hysterectomy with my cervix removed. (stomach surgery) and I never felt well afterward. I just found this product and it cured all of the issues I had for so many years. No one doctor told me about OX Bile. I still have a gallbladder but the problems were like a gallbladder removal. Ox Bile helps to absorb hormones like testosterone and adrenal. This is a great digestive supplement and Carlson’s is one of the few ethical vitamin companies in the USA, in my humble opinion and experience.This is a great digestive enzyme just as I said in the above but now I have been using it for a couple of weeks and as soon as I started the gum under one of my teeth started to hurt so I went to the dentist. He said it was calcium or tarter and gave me a prescription tooth past and some little brushes but it kept getting worse with no relief except Solgar K2 for 15 minutes. I suddenly realized that it was the Carlson’t enzymes that was causing the extreme pain. I googled it and learned that enzymes can hurt your gums especially the powdered ones. The pain is so great that I quit taking these enzymes and had to switch to PL Progressive Laboratories
Betaine HCL and Pepsin and I have no problem so far. I wondered if it was the ox bile causing the pain as there is no ox bile in the PL digestive enzymes. I love these Carlson’t digestive enzymes but they hurt my gums and under one tooth where there is a calcium build up. You can get PL enzymes on amazon of course, where else would you purchase them. Hope you have Prime. I sound like I work for amazon. lol

I didn’t realize these were tablets until the product arrived. Many tablets just don’t break down, but these did fine when I tested in a glass of water. Although I like Carlson Labs products, these enzymes were no better than others I’ve tried.

I started using this after learning about why, due to my chronic illness, my body may have had trouble producing as many enzymes as a healthy body would.
We know how important getting vitamins and nutrients is. However, if our body is not able to break down the food we eat, and use enzymes to pull these out of our food, the nutrients will pass through our bodies.
The second time i took this pill, i got a horrible stomach cramp that seemed out of nowhere. The same thing happened day 3. The only thing i could think of that i had done differently, and both day 2 and day 3, was take this enzyme. But it hadn’t caused a problem on day 1. After researching this, i discovered that cramping can be a symptom of too high of a dosage. However, as our body builds back up the systems that had been depleted, an under performing system will eventually be able to preform at a better level.
I didn’t take a pill day 4 or day 5. Day 6 i took one, no cramps. I then went to an every other day schedule, and had no problems. After about 2 weeks, i tried it 2 days in a row, and it caused cramps. I resumed the every-other day schedule. Somewhere about 2 months, i tried every day again. No cramping. I now take this every day.
My chronic illness is improving, slowly. I cannot directly attribute my increased health to this one product; however, i understand the science behind why this helps my body make better use of the nutrients i consume, and i believe that this is contributing to my increased health.
