This lotion does a good job of relieving dry skin after bathing. It has a light scent and goes on easily. That said, I’ve reviewed lots of various lotions but my all time favorite is Curel which can be found here on Amazon or at a grocery store and costs a lot less.

A product of Canada, this 8 ounce bottle of lotion is designed for use after bathing/showering to sooth and calm skin. It is absorbed quickly and does not leave a sticky or oily residue. The lotion has no added fragrance and so far is doing a good job—my skin looks more hydrated and I am experiencing no sensitivities or issues although this is usually not a problem for me. But, for people with sensitivities it is always wise to check the ingredient label which is kind of hard to read so I’ve listed the components in order below.
Deionized water, sunflower seed oil, soybean oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, emulsifying wax NF, steric acid, shea butter, aloe leaf juice, tocopherol (Vitamin E), Japanese green tea extract, cetyl alcohol, glyceryl monostearate, carboner, optiphen, carapex moisturizing complex The bottle has a foil inner seal to ensure it is fresh and untouched. The label information states to use within 6 months of opening. Cruelty-free. So far I like it.

If you enjoy very light weight lotions you may prefer this one. I personally, didn’t care for it. While it is light it is also very runny. The scent is “clean” which is nice but after applying my skin feels tacky/sticky which left me feeling dirty. I had no breakouts/ rashes or other skin irritations while using. This just wasn’t a great one for me.

Everything about this lotion seemed perfect — scent, consistency, ability to moisturize. Alas, I turned out to be violently allergic to something in the ingredients, no idea what. After using it two days in a row, the skin on my legs erupted in a raised, red, itchy, blotchy rash. It took two weeks of applying cortisone cream morning and night to calm it, and the skin is still mottled red and purple where the rash appeared. I imagine this is a VERY rare reaction, but I thought people should be prepared — there must be others who would have the same problem.

My hands are super dry from all hand sanitizer & Clorox products I’m using right now and need instant relief. This lotion didn’t do what I expected, skin got down ft but I still had big dryness and tightness in my skin just 20 minutes later after application. Also not a big fan of the smell, reminds me of cheap hand soap. In my opinion it’s very mediocre lotion.

I truly like this lotion. It goes on so smooth and it’s just the type of lotion you want to put on right out of the shower. It’s not sticky and has such a fresh feel. There is no scent to it and that’s exactly what I love about it. Stepping right out of the shower, for me personally, I love putting on a lotion that just compliments the clean, fresh feeling and this lotion does just that.

Gave me acne and smells bad

I thought the Carapex Healing After Bath Body Lotion was just an average lotion.
I prefer lotions that are lightweight, so that’s a plus. But the lotion didn’t absorb very quickly, and left behind a slightly tacky feel on my skin even after 10 minutes, so that’s a negative. Even 20 minutes after application, I could still tell where I had put the lotion.
The lotion is truly unscented.
I didn’t notice a huge difference in my skin after using the lotion. My hands especially are super dry right now, so I should have noticed if the lotion provided a lot of moisturizing power or not.

I have really scaly, rough skin on my upper arms more than anywhere else. Not really sure why, as my lower arms don’t seem to suffer the same issue, but after taking a shower and drying off, I slathered some of the Carapex Healing lotion on my arms, focusing on my upper arms and the scaling seems to have really gone away. I will continue to use this and if it eliminates the roughness of my arm skin, I’ll definitely stock up on more of this lotion!
