I’d like to volunteer a lot of information here, as magnesium is IMPORTANT.
Magnesium is one of the foremost nutrients the average person, even one who is not very much into supplementation, should consider supplementing. It is essential to a myriad of functions in the body, while also being one of the MOST common nutrients modern humans are deficient in. It is supposed to be abundant in much of the produce we grow. But because few commercial food producers are concerned with healthy soil, and pesticides indiscriminately kill good bacteria in soil as well as bad bacteria, just like much of the produce you buy at grocery stores is not as FLAVORFUL as it should be, so it doesn’t have as much NUTRITIONAL VALUE as it should and once did, either. Magnesium is one of those lacking nutrients.
Now, to help your body ABSORB the supplemented magnesium better, it is usually bound with something else. Magnesium doesn’t even occur on its own in nature, it is always found in a compound with something else. Magnesium on its own has terrible bioavailability. That is why so many types of magnesium supplements that exist on the market. Of these, magnesium malate is a great form. My favorite, in fact. For one, it is one of the most bioavailable. It is also one of the forms LEAST reputed to cause its users side effects (such as gastric issues). The “malate” part, which is malic acid, also makes this form of magnesium very good for muscle aches and energy. Athletes love it. (And malic acid is a very innocuous thing in general. It’s just a fruit acid, and the stuff that is used to give sour candy its sourness.) Note however that if you are looking for a magnesium to improve SLEEP, this one MAY end up making you more alert instead. Since MAGNESIUM is good for sleep, but the MALIC ACID is good for energy, the opposite of sleep. So whether this particular form of magnesium is helpful or not to sleep is quite individual.
Now, let’s get on to this product.
This was my first experience with this supplement brand. But here is what I can tell you.
It came in a heavy amber glass bottle. A rare effort in today’s world of plastic balls.
I’ve tried many magnesium capsules, this was the first one I’ve ever tried that was 100% free of dust. Of course I can’t guarantee your bottle will be the same. But… I expect a cloud of powder as par for the course when I test a magnesium supplement. It’s just the fact magnesium is chalky, literally the chemical name of gym chalk is magnesium carbonate. But this bottle was something to marvel at. Totally clean inside. Amazingly cleanly filled capsules.
The formulation is great. It says 425mg elemental magnesium per serving, while the capsules actually weigh about 2485mg. That’s about 17.1% elemental magnesium content. That’s very good. Again, you wouldn’t want a product that’s 100% elemental magnesium as your body would barely absorb it. But standard formulation for magnesium malate is about 15%. And the suggested dose of this supplement, 425mg elemental magnesium, is just north of what the FDA recommends per day for adults (a little above 400mg for men and a little less for women).
I got the impression this company just tried a little extra at every step. Packaging a little extra good, filling capsules a little extra good, formulation a little extra good, serving size a little extra good. All combined, fantastic first experience with this company for me.

This Malate form of Mag is a quality brand. I feel the effects of with in 15 mins of ingestion, increases well being and energy in a very subtle way and it is noticeable. Very good for circulation and has many benefits for men specifically. A very good antioxidant as well. This is a staple in my supplement’s arsenal. Highly recommended.

Arrived sealed in the package with good safety seals on the jar. Capsules were all intact inside, no breakage or loose powder floating around the jar. The capsules were odorless and tasteless and were easy to swallow.
Plenty of time left on the expiration date. Had enough info available on the manufacturer for me to trust it. Seems like a good option for this supplement.
I’ve found this to be a useful supplement myself, but definitely consult with your doctor.

I recently found out that there several forms of supplemental magnesium. These magnesium malate has an immediate positive effect in terms of increased energy levels. I also like the brown glass bottles. While there are 90 capsules, it is a one month supply as three is the recommended dose labeled.
