I’m am an avid believer and user of supplements, but reviewing them is problematic, and my results may not be your results for these reasons:
1) I am not a laboratory scientist, I do not play one on tv, nor do I know one, so who knows what’s exactly contained in them.
2) It is difficult for consumers to see any actual difference in how you feel within a few days to a couple of weeks. Some supplements take as much as ninety days to see results.
3) Even if we do notice a difference, we all take other meds or supplements that may affect our results one way or the other.
4) We all have different physiologies, and are just different in so many ways (lifestyles etc). But we can hope for the best when we see others having positive actions going on, that are attributed to said supplements.
So my personal non doctor opinion of my own results:
This is one of those that is hard to measure. Since the ingredients are good there is no reason to doubt the science on this one.

I am happy to see a Resveratrol product from Bulk Supplements, distributed by a U.S. company. On their home site they state that their products are cGMP manufactured and third-party tested, but there is really not a lot of detail provided there or on this product page. I have taken the daily dosage of this product with no problems noted. However the capsules are large, probably Size 00, and my normal brand of resveratrol is much easier to take.
I normally use a brand name Resveratrol product, which provides detailed testing data on every bottle, as well as a higher dosage per capsule. In this supplement the mix of isomers is relevant and is not given here in the ingredients. I’ll go back to the brand name product which is at a similar price point.

unfortunately this is Polygonum cuspidatum root which is not actual resveratrol. with my own research i found that this root contains 1-5% resveratrol, but the company does not specify how much resveratrol is actually in these. for that reason i am disappointed.

BULKSUPPLEMENTS.COM Resveratrol Capsules – Resveratrol Supplement, Polygonum Cuspidatum, Resveratrol 500mg – Antioxidant — It is difficult to review supplements. Since they are not regulated as medications are, one pretty much has to rely on the labeling that they are what the packaging says they are. I did receive the proper package and it was sealed at the top of the bottle inside the cap. There was no outer seal. Based on my research of the claimed positive health effects, I’ve been taking resveratrol for quite some time. I have had no adverse effects. The brand I usually take come in the form of gel caplets made from gelatin and beeswax. Those of you who do not want to use animal products should know that these are a powder in bovine gel capsules.

I have used several supplements from Bulk Supplements and feel like it’s probably a better brand than some given the strict cGMP compliance and more importantly third party testing and no fillers. I ordered this Resveratrol because of the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and improving cholesterol properties. This particular Resveratrol is made from Polygonum cuspidatum which is Japanese Knotweed rather than red grapes and is common in the supplement industry in the US. I don’t know of any way to measure if the product is actually working other than having a blood test.
The capsules are a standard size, no odor and easy to swallow. There is no instruction as to whether it should be taken with or without food and there seems to be no consensus on that issue online. As with any supplement you may want to consult with your doctor prior to taking or at least do your own research.

Basically, I have been taking resveratrol for its antioxidant and anti-aging properties. Also, for women looking to get pregnant, I have heard it helps preserve the ovarian reserve.
The bottle arrived solidly sealed and contains 60 capsules. This bottle should suffice for about 4 months, because I don’t take a resveratrol pill every day. I try to not over-do on any supplements. I like the fact that this product is third-party tested, and the gel capsules are easy to swallow, without any particular scent.
