My naturopath recently recommended I take maca but wanted me to take a large amount of powdered maca, which has a difficult taste and texture. I was really excited to see this as an option since it only requires one small capsule daily because of its concentrated form.
I was really impressed by the packaging. The small bottle says two things about the company: 1) They are thoughtful and put thought into this product and its packaging. So many supplement companies are using standard packaging and even just marketing the same product under different labels. 2) They care about the earth and the people living on it. I like companies that put that thought into action and actually make a difference by producing a small bottle instead of a standard supplement bottle that is four times larger than needed.
Why do I like this particular maca? Nootropics seems dedicated to quality manufacturing. They also run a dedicated facility and do a lot of research on supplements so they are not just producing what is currently popular. Also, even though this tiny bottle may seem expensive at over $30, its actually a two-month supply at only one capsule a day. They could have bottled this into two large bottles and charged $20/bottle and people might “feel” they are getting a better deal, but Nootropics cared more about delivering a powerful product in the right packaging. They are taking a bet that those of us who try it will feel the difference in this maca and be impressed enough to believe in the product more than the marketing.
So far, I am. I’m really pleased with the boost I’m seeing so far in my energy levels. I plan to buy this again and continue using it. It seems to be giving me the benefit of maca without the mess and difficulty of taking the raw powder.

I’ve never had any supplement from this company that wasn’t good and I can still say that with ease because, these Maca Extract Capsules , which there’s 60 that come in the bottle and it only takes 1 per day, are really good too. Now, they advertise in here that Maca is good for pain and I’m sure it doesn’t hurt me there too but, it’s also great for boosting Fertility in men, Stamina, Energy and more.
I love adding it into my daily regimen, especially since it’s generally only 1 capsule daily, well, at least this higher end one calls for only one. They’re also made about as clean as you can find, being Manufactured in an GMP Certified Facility and are then Certified in an ISO Verified Lab. I’ll add this too: if you shop around, you may find some for less but, after comparing the strength of each capsule and if the dosage is only 1, like these are or if it’s 2 or more, like others I’ve tried.
They also offer a better deal if you buy a larger bottle. Anyway, I’d definitely recommend them!

Maca is a great functional food for mood, cognitive, and hormonal health. I’m glad nootropics depot is offering it. The standardized extract is interesting and I trust the quality and percent of Macamides they are claiming. This is certainly a really easy way to take Maca as at 5% vs 1% in the powder this is roughly equivalent to 1 gram of Maca powder in a very tiny pill.
However this is a rare Nootropics depot product that let me down a little bit. I’m bit of a Maca connoisseur so maybe that’s it and take this review with a grain of salt. It was curious to me that it didn’t mention the type of Maca used. There are 3 different types of Maca, Yellow, Red, and Black, and they’ve shown to have different benefits in different studies. However, perhaps this could be because of the relative Macamide content in each type of Maca, and since this is a high Macamide extract, maybe this evens out?
The other thing I noticed is that this doesn’t mention if the maca is gelatinized. If maca isn’t gelatinized it can cause gut issues. The Maca that I get usually from Team Maca is very clear about whether their maca is or isn’t gelatinized. Again, maybe it doesn’t matter as it’s an extract, and maybe at 200mg, it’s not enough to irritate your stomach or gut but it’s still curious.
It is for sure more convenient to take a pill. However, I’m one of those who a) doesn’t mind the taste of maca in oatmeal/coffee/blate papes/etc and b) doesn’t get an obvious energy boost from maca. So the small pill form would really only be of a benefit to me with traveling. Cost wise the powder from Team Maca works out better.
Maca is really a powerful supplement with lots of uses and this could be an easy way to get started with it if the powder is a pain but you may be missing out on the full effects if you go this route.

This is a power punch if maca, which is good. I have been taking it for a few days and have noticed a possible upswing in my moods, a bit of a boost in energy but that could be the combo of natural supplements I am taking together for well being and health management.
I am hoping this maca begins to manage the menopausal symptoms I am experiencing, especially the hot flashes, since this is evidently going to be part of my life for the next several years!
Women go through too much hormonal junk throughout our lifetime so it would be a nice to have a break from the monotony!
All that aside, if this Maca works well, it would be nice to be able to afford it.
Most women my age are not going to be able to afford products like this so to make it more affordable would sell better considering there are more limited income people than there are otherwise.
Aside from the price, I feel this is a good supplement if you’re able to afford it.
