Before buying this one I tried 3 other brands and none of them made any difference when I would get the flu or the cold. They neither prevented nor shortened the duration of my cold or flu. This Olive Leaf Extract is the only one that actually has a noticeable difference. This is very potent. If any of my kids gets a cold, I would start taking this until my kids are well so that I do not get hit hard. I rarely get sick, and if I do, my cold or flu does not last more than 2 to 3 days. And I only really feel ill on the first day. The 2nd or 3rd day is mostly a runny nose and/or a mild cough.
Every time I would fly, I always used to pick up a cold. I always take this Olive Leaf extract a few hours before the flight, and I have avoided getting sick so far. I highly recommend taking this.

I have been taking this now for the past year and it is the only one that works that does not give me tummy troubles caused by the die-off effect. I tried the Liquid Barlean’s and it really works for minimizing the impact of a cold, but if I take a little too much, I get tummy troubles the next day sometimes. So I switched back to this. It works for my whole family. We avoid taking any form of antibiotics for infections. I even took this when I was diagnosed with Walking Pneumonia. I was down for 2 days and I was back to work on the 3rd day. I believe it isn’t only because it has anti viral/bacterial properties, but since I take it all the time, my immune system is very strong, so I am not hit very hard. I also drink Green Tea and Milk Thistle as well.
Whatever the reason, it has worked for me. I will take this for the rest of my life, or until they discover something better.

I have got the product which is going to expire soon. Expiry date printed on bottle is rubbed off purposefully. I collected the expiry date from Swanson’s website with the help of lot number on the bottle. Expiry date is October 2022. I ordered the product on 23rd August 2022. It is delivered on 7th September 2022.

I have had both herpes 1 and 2 for a long time. I was suffering through the mother of all outbreaks (hsv2) and the valacyclovir I was taking was not helping. After desperately searching the Internet for a natural remedy, I came across Olive Leaf Extract (OLE) and read how it helped a lot of other people with hsv. I stopped taking the valacyclovir and got a low dose of OLE from The Vitamin Shoppe because I wasn’t sure how my body would react. After a day of taking it with no adverse effects, I upped the dosage (I started with 250mg/ 12% Oleuropein) and took 2 capsules every 2 hours. On the 3rd day, the sores were going away and the pain was gone. By the 5th day, I was almost completely healed like nothing ever happened. I then ordered this higher dose of OLE and I take it as a daily suppressant.
At one point I ran out and was taking a lower dose from a different brand. I ate a few snickers fun size bars from my son’s Halloween candy and bam- outbreak. So I just have to make sure I eat really clean- I’ve noticed that nuts and chocolate together trigger outbreaks for me. I am a petite woman, so 2 capsules of Swanson OLE (750 mg) in the morning and 2 in the evening seems to work best for me to keep outbreaks away. If you are bigger, you may need more. I also noticed pleasant side effects from OLE like decreased appetite and more energy. The first time I started taking it though, I broke out with light rashes in various areas of my body- particularly near my outbreak parts. They went away quickly though and I read that it’s a natural “die off” effect of toxic microbes.
This stuff is a gift from God. I now cannot live without it. My husband (who does not have herpes) also takes it as an immune booster, although he only takes 1 capsule a day. I suggest anyone who hasn’t taken it yet, start with 1 capsule a day and work your way up if necessary. Depending on your level of toxicity, the die-off effects can be unpleasant.

Swanson products are high-quality products and why I gave it four stars. Why it didn’t get 5 stars, was because it said Gluten-free, but I didn’t know it was produced in a facility that had wheat in it. That is until I had sharp GI pain, and spent all morning in the bathroom! When something is not CERTIFIED GLUTEN-FREE it can have 5 parts per million of Gluten. For people with Celiac Disease, that is 5 parts too many! Even people who have Gluten-sensitivity will have GI distress. It would help if the information about being produced in a facility that also has wheat, is put on the label is larger, and easier to find. I am being refunded for this.

I have used many brands of olive leaf extract over the years. But this one is by far the most effective of them. It helped stop my oncoming cold in its tracks. I used it along with vitamin c. It helped clear my throat within two days. I use it as it helps in keeping immune system healthy, wards off infections.
