I took this Berberine supplement to help with weight loss management and out of curiosity, I googled “How long does it take for Berberine to help lose weight?” And the answer surprised me, but from the results Im seeing, it’s true. It takes 3 months to start seeing results for weight loss. I stepped on the scale 2-3 days after the 3 months mark and I was down 5 pounds. And I also do intermittent fasting and exercise several times per week and eat pretty healthy. All those things combined my weight didn’t budge an ounce, until I had been taking the Berberine for 3 months. Now, I’m reading the amount of weight loss on average is not significant, about 5-10lbs. But that’s all I’m looking for! Im in my late thirties my metabolism definitely slowed down. Two years ago I put on 20lbs out of nowhere and couldn’t get rid of it. Only after exercising 5-6 days per week, dramatically changing my diet and reducing my portions, and doing intermittent fasting did I finally manage to lose 10 pounds! So while I’m not significantly overweight, the weight I did gain was beyond stubborn and hard to lose. So I’m glad this seems to help in addition to all the other things Im doing. So again, if anyone is trying this to lose a little weight, please be advised it’s absolutely going to take 3 months, so please be patient and try it.

I have been supplementing with Berberine HCL for many years now. I began using it when my blood sugar was elevated in a blood test and a Doctor told me I had pre-diabetes and Metabolic Syndrome X. Freaked out by that and not wanting to take pharmaceuticals, I went down the rabbit hole of diet and nutrition advice. I eliminated sugar (mostly) from my diet, increased my lean protein intake and worked out. I also began supplementing with Berberine HCL. Over the past 2 years I have lost over 120lbs with diet and exercise — Berberine has been a staple in my regimen.
While I haven’t been on Dr. Emil’s product here long enough to tell you if it’s any better or worse than the Berberine I was using, I can say that I feel no difference from the usual Berberine supplement I had been taking since switching to this.
What attracted me to try this out is the inclusion of Silymarin, otherwise known as Milk Thistle, and Cinnamon and MCT Oil. Milk Thistle helps your Liver detoxify and stay healthy. It’s a safe supplement that anyone with elevated liver enzymes should try to get their liver numbers in check. Cinnamon has good effects on blunting blood sugar spikes — its inclusion with the Berberine is interesting as they both suppress blood sugar from spiking — I think Dr. Emil thinks throwing more supplements that keep those spikes in check can only help. As I said, I don’t notice any blood sugar crashes or anything from using this so I think its inclusion is right.
The MCT Oil is interesting to me as well as you generally want to have some kind of fat in your stomach when you take some supplements to help absorption. MCT Oil can also help with inflammation. It’s a safe addition.
I’ll report back if I notice any side effects or my weight increasing or anything, but as of now, I like this version. I think Berberine is very safe and has a similar effect to Metformin.
If you have Insulin Resistance or Metabolic Syndrome, Berberine is a useful supplement to help you as you attempt to reverse that with diet and exercise. It’s certainly helped me.

Dr Emil’s products need a warning that consuming could cause severe reaction. They made me break out into horrible sweating, shakes, heart palpitations and SEVERE vomiting.
When I asked for refund I was told his products are non refundable. Buyer beware
