This lotion is quite hydrating and it absorbs well into the skin. The lavender scent smells a little strange to me, and it is a little stronger than I expected.
Angry Face –
This is a good, hydrating lotion, but the scent is a bit much. It isn’t exactly the lavender scent I expected and it’s pretty strong so if you’re sensitive to fragrance, I’d suggest something else. It’s a little greasy at first but soaks in pretty quickly, which is nice. It definitely does its job though, and seems like a good high-quality product.

I like this brand and was excited to try their lotion. It’s a thick and moisturizing lotion that absorbs well. The scent is light and not overpowering and dissipates fairly quickly. The product is made with clean ingredients and I feel good about using it on myself and my children.

This is really nice. Very lightly scented with lavender. Goes on very easily and is not tacky. Nice lotion for kids sensitive skin.

The lotion is hydrating and has a gentle lavender scent. It’s packaged in an FDA-approved facility which is important for beauty products especially to be used on kids.
PDP –
This lotion has a mostly refreshing and bright fragrance to it. There is one particular element of the scent that I can’t quite put my finger on that is slightly less enjoyable to me, but on the whole it has a nice smell. I find the texture to be creamy and smooth. It has a moderate thickness to it, and it takes a little bit of effort to rub it in all the way so it absorbs. There is a noticeably greasy and shiny residue that it leaves, but it’s still quite hydrating and moisturizing. I think I was expecting a more soothing and calming effect from this lotion, but I’m not really getting that. My knuckles still feel a bit itchy and irritated after applying this. I appreciate their plant-based approach to this formula, but the ingredient list is quite long with chemical names I don’t completely understand. This isn’t probably something I would re-order, mostly because of the lingering scent and the greasy residue. But, as I’ve said, it is reasonably moisturizing.

This would initially have gotten 5 stars, but it turns out that after several uses, tiny plastic/glass-like shards are coming out in the lotion. I was about to apply to my child, but fortunately, I rubbed it into my own hands first and noticed uncomfortable scratchy bits in the lotion. This is not good. I look forward to hearing back from California Kids/Baby about this. Also, just saw online that others have gotten similar pieces in other California Baby lotions. Yikes!
PDP –
My poor kiddos get dry skin in the winter. Using this in the evening after their baths helps. It’s lightweight and absorbs easily and provides enough moisture to keep their skin looking healthy instead of like the Sahara.
The scent is pure lavender, and it’s strong which is why I suggest using it at night. Lavender is naturally relaxing and can help your tiny human sleep.
It arrived safety sealed with a metallic seal under the cap for safety. It’s a great lotion with pure clean ingredients. I’d absolutely buy it again.
