First, the flavor. It tastes exactly like blueberry jam. You could put it in a smoothie–but it’s also fine in a tablespoon. I was looking for a way to get down a couple thousand milligrams of calcium without swallowing a lot of chalky pills. This has vitamin D, eliminating another pill or drops. I only wish it included magnesium, and I can’t understand why it doesn’t. So I still have to take one pill for the magnesium–and it loses one star. Still much better than pills.

Prescribed calcium supplement. Trouble swallowing capsules and gels; physician suggested a product with a liquid formulation that included magnesium, but it caused loose bowel movements. Tried this product with calcium citrate and no magnesium: no adverse side effects, easy to swallow, and has a pleasant blueberry taste.

This would have been fine except that they dumped in Xylitol AND Sucralose!!! Why?????
It’s disgustingly sweet and overpowers the perfectly good blueberry flavor. It didn’t need all of that! Why do manufacturers think that more is better? Not in every case and especially this one. They could have omitted the Xylitol and maybe I could have tolerated it, but my gut is sensitive to artificial sweeteners and this just did me in!
So buyer beware if you don’t like overpoweringly artificially sweetened products. It’s a real shame because this could have worked for me if not for that. And this is NOT a returnable item because it has to be refrigerated once opened. So now you know.

I buy this for my daughter who is tube feed and I put it through her tube. The food she gets lacks Vitamin D so this is a great supplement for her. I wish I had the option to set up a subscription.
