I have benefited from using 5-HTP, usually in time release form. I expect this immediate release form will be effective for me as well. The seller claims that this is made to cGMP standards and third party tested at an ISO 17025 certified lab. A certificate of analysis is however not posted. This is an inexpensive supplement that can greatly improve your sense of well being.

I absolutely love 5htp, it is just as effective as other 5htp I’ve taken. It’s also comes in a smaller dosage which is perfect for people that have never take 5htp before since this smaller dosage allows people to control how much they take more effectively.

This supplement comes in a standard size and dosage for HTP-5 with 240 capsules. They are easy to swallow and label matches the description, so it seems ok on the surface. I do not like that the product label does not indicate who manufactures this supplement and where – it only lists the distributor. The company’s website likewise does not list any information on the origins of their products or any certifications from well-known organizations, it only states that a certificate of testing by a 3rd party is available upon request. The currently listed $19.96 price of this product is too high for a generic supplement of unknown origins and purity – there are well-established brands that are NSF-certified that sell the exact same size/strength at $12-15.
Please also note that this supplement contains animal products (bovine gelatine), so it’s not vegetarian/vegan friendly. Between the price and unknown quality, this brand does not appear to be good value for this very basic supplement.

I recently ran out of my normal brand of 5-HTP capsules when I ran into these. I researched Bulk Supplements. I found that they’ve been around for years and have a good reputation in the supplement industry.
These 5 HTP capsules worked just as good as they prior brand I was using. And they cost a lot less then most brand name competitors.

This seems to be a good quality 5-htp so far.
– Capsules are easy to swallow
– No odd aftertaste or ill effects
– Price/Value is very good
– Label has GMP stamp and claims 3rd party lab tested (however I haven’t seen the COA yet)
– BulkSupplements has been a great brand for me in the past
I haven’t had any problem taking these, but I’m only giving 4 stars for now until I have a chance to view a COA from the company for this product. If/when I receive that, I’ll revise my review accordingly.
