I take Berberine to help with my high glucose levels. I am not diabetic and don’t want to become one. Since I don’t take any meds I figured some natural solution might help in the cause. I take other Bronson supplements and trust the brand. I am not happy with only a 30 capsule bottle and my other brand provided 600mg per capsule and these are only 500mg. The price is decent but I will probably go back to the other brand. Since I only take one capsule a day, I need as much packed into each capsule as possible.

I like how the product doesn’t use binders to hold the materials together. That being said, I don’t like how there’s no real effort to make the product organic. I personally prefer a simple organic cellulose capsule and don’t like risking ingredients such as magnesium stearate. The capsules do have the yellow-like color of berberine, but it doesn’t seem the same. I smell the this bottle and smells chemically, while another bottle from another company I was comparing it to that is mostly berberine, smells pretty good. This product makes promises and no suggestions for effective use. One of things I noticed taking berberine from another supplement is that my poop had a yellowish orange color, convincing me that some of it was able to make it through my gut. This product doesn’t seem to have the same result and it wasn’t quite as orange as I was accustomed to. Most importantly, I was trying to get poop to flow better and I did notice some bowel movement activity or softening, it wasn’t quite like I was hoping for.
These things being said, the larger volume orders of this product could provide a slightly better deal per volume, but there are also some organic equivalents that are less expensive in some cases.

Bronson Berberine As Berberine HCI Berberis Aristata 500 MG Per Vegetarian Capsule Non-GMO, 30 Vegetarian Capsules
These arrive double sealed, made in the USA in a GMP registered facility and are in house lab tested. The capsules are also GMO-Free, Gluten-Free and Soy-Free. The dose is 1 – 3 per day and I found the capsules average in size, easy to swallow, did not discern any taste, aftertaste or odor, nor did I have any gastric distress after use. I did note on the label a couple unnecessary additives. Overall a good value for the price of $9.99 at time of review.

I wanted to start taking Berberine to help with blood glucose control. There have been so many studies of the efficacy for this and it has been shown to have positive results.
Of course Berberine has been around for thousands of years to treat all kinds of ailments. I like a holistic approach rather than throwing chemicals at everything.
I believe a beginning dose is 500 mg and in some clinical studies that is increased to three times a day, which is a suggested dose on the label. I’m starting with the 500 mg.

It has a medium-prominant citric acid scent, that isn’t really offensive to me, and doesn’t leave an unpleasant flavor lingering.
Time will tell how effective it is, but the ingredients are all solid and recognized by me to have good outcomes.

I take berberine regularly for the several years from the different brands and this one is a good quality. It is made in USA in GMP facility and tested by a 3rd party lab, so I am pretty confident in the quality of this supplement. This capsules are easy to swallow and no aftertaste. I don’t have any side effects. Each capsule contains 500 mg berberine and I usually take 1000 or 1200 mg, so this bottle will last me no more than 15 days.
