2 of these capsules is 1000mg, so you can take a smaller dose if you need to. These pills have helped me, your mileage may vary. Check with your doctor to see if Carnitine can help you.

This Brieofood ALCAR is a quality, competitively priced supplement. My wife and I both take 1000mg twice daily, so ALCAR is on our subscribe and save list. This brand checks a couple of boxes on my supplement checklist- it is made in the USA, and it is third party lab tested. Both of these criteria are clearly stated on the label. The product visually appears clean, uniform and professionally packaged. The current subscribe and save pricing is a few dollars less than our current brand, so we may be switching to Brieofood.

I take Acetyl L-Carnitine on a daily basis and have for about a year.. a different brand.
Although I can’t say anything negative about this brand, I can say that I don’t feel the benefits like I do when I was taking my usual brand.
I guess I don’t trust it … I don’t see the same results but just because I don’t see negative results doesn’t mean that it’s quality formula.

The only other ingredients listed are Capsule (Gelatin, Bovine), Silicon Dioxide, and Magnesium Stearate (Vegetable Sourced). The bottle’s label also features a GMP stamp and that it’s made in USA. The serving suggestion is to take 2 capsules 1-2 times daily or as directed by your qualified healthcare professional. A 2 capsule dosage provides 1,000mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine, so if you’re only looking for 500mg of Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI it’s easy to dose that out by just taking 1 capsule instead of the recommended 2 capsules.

I became interested in Acetyle L-Carnitine after reading about mitochondrial issues, and thought it might benefit me. This product has been a good choice for me– nice price, nice quantity (to see if it will actually work for me over time) and all the good “non’s” and “free’s”.
This has been a great supplmement for me– it’s certainly not like coffee or a stimulant, as it works more at the cellular energy level (so my reading tells me). Whether it’s an actual effect or a placebo, it definitely has contributed to my overall increasing energy levels.
